I would take baseball in a heart beat. I realize we haven't won a national title in basketball since 1935, but baseball will always be second behind football for me. If you told me our basketball team would never win a conference championship again, but our baseball team remained dominant like they were in the 90's, I'd be completely fine with it.
YOu racist piece of crap redneck...

apparently so. it'd be impossible for someone who played baseball and not basketball their entire life to like watching baseball more.

Ya...My first love is baseball...and if i didnt play a bit of basketball also, I may even say Id rather another baseball NC. Elleshoe just torqued me with the "redneck" nonsense...but other than that I think he's right. As an "LSU" fan..who is proud of all things "LSU" i want to see LSU make a mark in basketball as well as football and baseball. Of course that will make me a male chauvinist since i didnt mention women's bball or softball...

Baseball - and I am a redneck.

Baseball, not even close. Basketball, as a sport, sucks.

Basketball.
And haven't you started a thread like this before? Maybe a couple of times?

baseball-
after reading this thread it just shows how baseball is the big #2 here over basketball.

Would you rather LSU win the NC next in baseball or basketball? My answer is obvious (yes yes I'm still a baseball supporter), but what do yall say?
While one can make the arguement, and a good one, that baseball is more popular at LSU..it's an easy one for me...basketball.
The fact that I'm a hoophead aside, winning a title in basketball brings much more recognition and long term positives than several baseball titles.
While college baseball is a passion here, it's barely a blip on the national radar.
Women's basketball easily draws more per game attendance nationally.
LSU baseball is truly a unique product and one we can be proud of.
But I'd trade four of our five baseball titles (I'll keep the Morris home run) for 1 hoops national title right now!
