I've done black before and as long they are breatable like mesh jerseys than they are fine and yeah most games are at night.

I can name a few MLB teams that wear black every now and then. Giants, Marlins, Mets, White Sox, Diamondbacks, Rockies, I don't know about the Astros.

The Astros don't. Nearly all major league teams have an alternate jersey they wear that varies from their regular home whites and away grays. The Astros have a road red, and a home white with no stripes. All of the teams you mentioned, except the Mets maybe, have black in their regular color scheme and some are actually included much more predominantly than others (White Sox, Giants, D-Backs). The Astros could make it work since they have a lot of black in their uniforms and color scheme already.

What about them?

Like I said in the post above, nearly all teams have an alternate jersey, it doesn't mean it is "traditional". The teams in the post I originally responded to, except for the Mets, all have black in their scheme...and some have it as one of their main colors so it isn't unusual that they would wear it.

Oakland is obviously one of the teams that wears it just for the hell of it, but I still see them in all white, all gray, or a solid green jersey with the white or gray pants much more often than the black jersey.
