BR is fine but Lake Charles is in a mess right now. Don't know if McNeese could have made it back

This is probably your answer.

Who's paying for hotel rooms and accommodations for them to stay the night? LSU?

Nope. We were covered with other players and discussed with the coach.

Habitual down voters? What's the deal?

We got it all night last night in Houston. I had a Final Four volunteer orientation meeting downtown and it was bad going in and coming home. It was still storming at 10 when I went to bed and still storming more when the power went out and woke me up at 3. I also heard thunder here at 630.... it's all heading your way. Be prepared and be safe.

Glad I didn't cancel my baseball teams practice last night. That wind did some tricks on my outfielders though.

Why?

Rain clears out Saturday morning, we play two on Saturday + the Sunday game.

That doesn't necessarily mean it rains until 6pm Saturday. It means low areas may still have water on them until that time even after the rain has stopped.

Looking at the radar now the line of storms that has been stalled over the La/Tex border for the past 48 hours is now starting to move eastward pretty fast, thankfully. The rain may be out of the BR area by sometime tomorrow if it doesn't stall again.
