yes. but scoring one run and saving one run (defense or pitching) is exactly equal in their effect on a baseball game. i'm all for great pitching and great defense and think you need them for consistent success and probably to win in Omaha but you still gotta score some runs man. losing games 2-1 sucks but your staff ends up with a great ERA.

I know I've been critical As much as anyone.
My hope is for this to continue through the CWS.
They've earned what they've gotten.
Nobody predicted this or saw it coming with them running off as many wins as this considering who was left on the schedule in AU, MSU and SCe.
