Ochinko raises his batting average to .500 and Lamahieu raises his average a few points and Shrimpf, Dean, Gibbs, Landry, and Helenihi just forgot how to hit. Nola, Haydel and Pontiff need to be ready. I think Mitchel needs to leadoff. Ochinko is just amazing at this time, I thought Dean just warm up to SEC pitching but I was wrong and Helenihi has totally lost it.

Ochinko is going to hit. Dean was hitting below .300 for about the first 4 series of SEC play last year. Helenihi as scouting reports have grown on him his BA has declined.

I think part of the problem could be all the lineup changes. Mentally some of our hitters matbe trying to get used of different situations and think the coach has lost confidence in their ability. Once a hitter feels confortable he relaxes and focuses better I think. If he has to worry about not producing one time he'll press.

We can't lose series at home, if we expect to be in the top 8 at the end of the year.

Well, I don't know. But this is really a veteran team that can't handle good pitching as of now. The guy today was ripped by E. Carolina. Can they be better than our hitters? Of course BB is an unpredictable game.

That's my feeling. I was worried about all of the changes a couple of weeks ago. Not a criticism of coach M (he obviously knows better than I do), but I just didn't think it was needed.

we should play good ball all of the time. too many errors, leaving too many runners on base, and pitching needs to be better. i sure hope we can turn it around soon, and not have to count on a miracle run like last year. there is a enough talent on this team to where we should not have lost 2 to Il. at home, and should be hitting avg. pitching better then we are.

You now have to wonder if we remain in the top 10.
