Les Miles and Nick Saban could literally coach the exact same game, with the same common opponent and record the exact same stats... if the game ended close and Miles won, it would be because he's an idiot and didn't coach all his talent well enough. If it ended close and Saban would have won it's because he's such a great coach and really had his team prepared and they are mentally strong and that's the "style" they play.

less than a minute to go in the first half against scar, bama is up 10-3, third down on their own 35, they send julio to the corner of the end zone and throw a jump ball. they missed then kicked a field goal on fourth.

obviously this is not the exact same scenario as the game winner LSU had against Auburn, but it was the EXACT same play, on third down with time winding down in a tight game. its either a good idea to take a shot on third or its not. if two coaches run the same play one isn't dumb and the other a genius.

how many god damn times did we have to hear Miles criticized for taking a shot, that he would have lost the game if it didn't work (18 seconds to go when they broke the huddle and 1 second to go after the play was over, btw), and "ooohhh what if they intercepted it."

i watch other teams and coaches and wonder how people would react if Miles had done the same thing, and even more telling how people would frame it if some other coach was able to do what Miles and LSU have done the past 5 years.

i cannot wait for tomorrow. i don't think this is even gonna be close. I say LSU by 20.

I think the LSU plane landed in Tuscaloosa earlier today. That tells me the win is a sure thing.

Lets see how many members of Bammer Nation we can draw out in this thread...

I say Bama comes out soft after the bye week gets punched in the mouth early and never recovers.

I will give you that there are some level headed posters that have an objective view of the game but the vast majority of the postings I have seen on this forum know for a fact that lsu will win the game. I for one have always said they are very capable of winning but they are also very capable of losing.

I hope LSU is afraid of playing Alabama AT Alabama like they were in 82, 84, 86, 88, 93, 97, 01, 03, 05 and 07.....nuff said!

FEAR BAMA!

reading comprehension fail.

yes, we're confident. why shouldn't we be? we're LSU.

but very few if any fans here or anywhere think a win tomorrow is a given.
