You still have to prove that you could not have gotton out of the situation without killing the man,and thats going to be hard to prove especially with the woman. You cant kill somebody in your yard that ,in the case of the woman may have been unarmed ,and was not forcing her way into his house.

If Mr. and Mrs. Smith had stayed their drunken arse's at home, they would be alive today.

Maybe it was better that they got the job done there and not on the road by hitting another vehicle.

You are wrong on this. There was a case a few years ago where a man in Birmingham was called and warned that some guys were on their way to his house with guns to kill him. He and his buddies went into his back yard shed, which had an alley behind it. The alley was where people normally came to his from. When the guys came into his yard brandishing weapons, and walked to his back door, he opened fire and shot them in the backs, killing them. He was acquitted for defending his property against armed intruders. Alabama law allows you to defend your property and lives when there is intent to harm you (bringing weapons). You are not required to flee or to show you were being menaced, the victims have already done that by brandishing weapons.

Pathetic!

I can't believe there are people like this out there.

There HAD to have been more about this situation than a simple football game... right? Please tell me there was some bad blood brewing between the two couples before Saturday night.

It's a football game. A game! I'll never understand it.

please be forwarned, if you and I are in a heated argument on the phone and you show up at my house packing a pistol...you will be shot.

You will be shot till you are dead, if my buckshot hits your gal, she will be dead as well.

And I will not go to jail. I will go to court and they will not convict me.

If I am in the Wal Mart parking lot and you come at me with a pistol, I can shoot you there as well.

They DO have two young children and a son in Iraq.

Nobody knows what happened. Witnesses were the shooters friends/Alabama fans.

You don't know bammer got his gun first or not. You don't know why Smith went to the house. He could have gone over there b/c they had planned for him to go there. His wife and gump g/f were related.

He's got a gun in his vehicle all the time, probably, not just to bring to the gumps house.

He was stupid to be anywhere around anybody from ALabama, anyway. Has anything good ever come out of Alabama?? EVER?

They are the lowest of the low. Thank God for Mississippi for separating La. and no dentist land.

Doubt the real story will ever come out, b/c of the murder of the people that would tell the truth, anyway.

Hopefully Auburn will beat blama so this might happen 100 times all over the state and the countries IQ can go up a couple of points.

Pulling a gun on anyone over a football game is stupidity at its highest level. Unfortuneately, this is not the first, nor will it be the last time someone is killed over the results of a sporting event. However, as far as I can remember, and I'm a geezer, it's the only time that I know of it happening between LSU and Alabama fans.

Would this had happened had Saban not been the coach at Alabama?

Sleep well Nick, you greedy self-centered SOB.
