I'm not arguing that it wasn't upsetting all I'm saying is that a tie is waaaaay better than an outright loss. Coming out of that stadium in 2012 was MISERABLE and that was before sitting in traffic for 4 hours.

I was there for both of them. I was way more upset because of where we were as a program. Keep in mind that we did not win a conference championship since 1970.
You didn’t live in a time of ties. A tie was like a loss, especially if you were going to ever play for national championship.
In 2012 we were not supposed to be as good versus that Bama team. I was sick because we gave the game away with that freaking third and Chavis defense. But I was also there in 2014 and 16. All were painful.
The Ohio State tie was painful. We should have never lost that game. Mike archer was a big dumbass.

Yep. Similarly I remember having a discussion with someone about the 05 Tenn Monday night game and and them saying it was the worst loss (at the time) in LSU history. I said any discussion of the worst loss in LSU history that doesn’t start with 1994 Auburn shouldn’t even be considered. (There have been worse ones since but again this discussion was in 05) In 94, it looked like LSU was about to turn the corner after 5 straight losing seasons against an Auburn team that hadn’t lost in forever. At their house. LSU thoroughly dominated and lost in about the most excruciating fashion imaginable. Of course that team would go on to a bad year, but it has to be taken in context. 85 Bama is another perfect example.

We weren't miles away from Bama in 2012. We had one loss going into the game, and we beat johnny football... the programs were pretty damn close.
and the game was one of the most electric I've ever seen...
just couldn't throw on 3rd and 4 with a hot QB and gave the game away.

I definitely lived during the ties and again a TIE was way better than a loss

As bad as the tie was, the loss in the Horseshoe the next year was even worse.
With 4:28 left in the game, LSU took a 13 point lead when Hodson threw a tipped pass TD to Alvin Lee. Ohio State took over 2 minutes to score, then held LSU on a 3&out (with a bad incomplete on 3rd down and Ohio State having already used their last time out. LSU took an intentional safety to prevent the blocked punt, and then gave up the game winning TD drive any way.
Was the first road loss during my time at LSU, and broke a 14 road game winning streak. LSU lost at Florida the next week, where it looked like the team was still on the sideline in Columbus.
