The ground swell is starting. Both east and west coast media is starting the campaign. More murmurs are starting here and there. By next weekend Bama will be in the shadows as OSU beats OU. We all know in the media eyes its what have you done lately. Can you imagine how much fun LSU fans will have in NO the week before the NC game with Bama in town to play Houston for the Sugar Bowl?

They are not a conference champion and should not be in the MNC game. Also the argument against a playoff is that they want to keep the regular season relevant well if Bama goes to the MNC then that argument is out the window.

I can't remember where UGA ended up being ranked on the second to last weekend in 2007 because that is when everyone in front of them lost, but the voters deliberately voted other teams ahead of them when they were idle for not having won the SEC East division that year.

I'm so damn sick of hearing douchebag Bama fans saying "Oh, LSU don't want none of us. They SKERRED to play BAMA in the National Championship Game."

OK, listen up you inbred mental midget. LSU BEAT BAMA ALREADY. If Bama was undefeated, had beat LSU already during the season, had to play in and win the SEC Championship Game while LSU sat at home and rested, watched film, and game planned.........BAMA fans would be livid. They would be screaming through their gums and beating their wife/sister.

The fact is, no team wants to win their conference, beat a #2 team ( and 6 other ranked teams ) and be forced to play a rematch against a team they already beat and risk being 13-1 and not winning the National Championship to a team that has less wins than them, didn't win their conference ( or even division ), and who they already beat in the regular season.

I'm very surprised that so much of the media has somewhat resigned themselves to the rematch when there are other 1-loss teams out there that LSU hasn't beaten. I do admit that Bama is the 2nd best team out there, but honestly, their 1 decent OOC win really doesn't look THAT great.

We'll just have to see what happens, but ESPN is really pushing for Bama. However, LSU is not scared. They'll take on, and beat, whoever they play in the BCSNCG.

Oklahoma State's only defeat was in triple overtime, at Iowa State, on the day the team learned of the plane crash that killed its women's basketball coach and top assistant. If any team in BCS history deserves a mulligan, it's the Cowboys.

We are gonna hear this a lot this week! This is the Medias excuse for not wanting LSU v Bama ii.

5 out of 5 teams stayed @ 2, while being idle the final weekend

Did any of these 5 teams already lose to the opposition earlier in the year?

We've already disposed of Bama at their house. Why should you get another bite at the apple? We've got work to do while you sit at the house. We have to put it on the line at the risk of injuries while Bama sits at the house after losing to us. Something is not right about that.

Wojiehowski (sp?) is the worst. Next weekend will be further proof of ESPN's increasing irrelevance.

Tiger fans are not scared as LSU will beat the Gumps even worse the second time around. We just think the Gump meltdown over not getting in the NC game will be more fun to watch than the meltdown over losing to LSU again.

Yes, you are correct. Nothing would bring me greater happiness than being a witness to the ensuing meltdown of GumpNation after it is announced that OSU passed the Gumps to take the #2 spot in the BCS standings.

I'd rather not play the Gumps for the same reasons echoed elsewhere here on the boards. Already beat you guys on your own field. I don't believe the Gumps deserve a spot in the BCS title game - you've already proven you're not the best in even your own conference yet you claim that you warrant to be considered the best in the nation? I think not.

But if it does come to a rematch it will provide great satisfaction to Tiger Nation as Miles, with a month to prepare, once again drills $aban, thus beating him twice in the same season. That would provide almost as much happiness as the Gumps missing the game entirely.
