Doc, I know you love linebacker play.

Who do you want to come coach/motivate our linebackers? L.T.?

prove it. You think that Miles would have kept him any longer if he hadn't been forced to send him packing? HOW?

Yeah, LSU needed RP this past year, but if "putting up" with RP was going to cause Miles to loose his team, why didn't he loose the team last year when RP was actually still there?

Seems like THAT is when the team would quit on Miles if this was the issue. Once RP is gone, it should have ended.

That said, maybe the team was "lost" because of all the confusion with the co-defensive coordinators, or maybe they "lost" themselves because they found themselves loosing games for the first time in their entire college careers and responded poorly. Myabe they felt "lost" because there were a bunch of arse-heads in Tiger Stadium booing the LSU player(s).

Give me a break!

Thats my point!! The LSU people told him that RP must go!! BTW WHY did he give RP SOOOOOO Many chances.???? Thats BAD coaching.

He DIDn"T NEED HIM last year. The SEC title game was won by the defense. If RP was that good he would have led this team to more than 14 points!!!

But it got worse!! WHO'S fault is that??? MILES!! /THREAD!!!!

because he cared about the kid, and wanted to see and help him succeed?

YIKES!! As if this year at QB hasn't been enough to show how a team can implode around a fragile QB situation. WHO the hell would have scored those 14 points, if not RP??

Maybe "IT" got worse, because it wasn't all about the RP situation!! DUH!!!

Thats great!! BUT the rest of the team saw this and wanted some love to!! I can screw up just like RP and get special treatment!! Come On dude!!!

Doesn't matter!! RP got away with TOO much and the team suffered for it!!!

I never said the team was ready for any game other than Bama all year. BUT IT WAS NOT ABOUT RP!! Get your head out of last year's arse, and see that there were many factors to this. I am trying to help you, but you want to stay curled up in your little corner and not approach the world as it is. You are Helen Keller with this, and you refuse to acknowledge any water. I however, am not Ms. Sullivan, and don't give a shite if you sit in the waste last years old news forever, if it's where you like to be. You are just wrong about "how Les Miles lost the 2008 team".

Miles did not have this team together all year!!! DEAL WITH IT,AND EXCEPT IT!!!! They gave it ALL against Bama and lost!! The next week they were LOSING to TROY 31-3 at home for HOMECOMIBNG!!! Thats COACHING!!! Yes they were lucky that Troy didn't know how to run the clock out!! But come on!! This is NOT good coaching!!!

But how do you take all this and pile it on the RP situation?

I never denied the whole "ready to play" deal. Or that there were problems with scheme, game planning and getting the players "up" for the games. I am just taking exception to the GIANT flying leap you are taking in saying that this is all because of friggin' Ryan Perilloux!!

You are like a dog barking at the base of a tree with the squirrel is long frickin' gone!

p.s. either you are drunk or stupid, because you are not reading a thing I write. But congratulations on finding the CAPS LOOCK KEY!!!!

oh yeah, I forgot:

the motivation issues with the team this year?

still not about RP!

Look at Chad Jones. WOW he was great in the Bowl Game.

He was coached by the same two guys all year. I think the LSU D made a statement to Malveto.

MIles let RP get away with whatever he wanted!!!! That made alot of difference in how THIS years team played!!!

It has ALOT to do with the way this team was playing this year!! It shouldn't have but it did!!!

No, it shouldn't have, nor do I believe that it did. YES there were motivational issues, and yes, some of that goes to coaching, and a lot of it goes to complacency. But RP? Stop it. Just stop it. You have zero to back that up.

I wonder, did the defensive coaches just learn how to game plan and coach in the past month? I think not. Its amazing what good QB play will do for a team. I'm guessing that if they had quality QB play all year long they would have been a 10 win team and the DC's would still be there. Anybody that knows shite about football knows that, except some you the dumbasses on this board. Chavis better hope he gets good QB play or his defense will be no better.
