The good news is that I managed to get autographs of the All-Americans who were there.

The bad news is that it seemed as if the administration organizing this event expected only 50 ppl to show up.

There were two caged in areas: one was the All-Americans, the other was the NFL players--two separate lines. If you wanted all signatures, when you were done with one set you had to go get in the other line. Unfortunately there was no time (if you wanted to see the Spring Game).

Initially the "entrances" to the area for autographs was set up to hold 10 ppl in line. Then as the line grew, they criss-crossed each other and were as haphazard as could possibly be.

I got there about 11:45, waited till 12:15 trying to meet some turkey who didn't show, then got in line which was already discombobulated. At about 12:50 they realized there were quite a lot of people so they started bringing in barricades to create some sort of order.

The "autograph party" was supposed to start at 1:00 but didn't get going till 1:10. There were about 100-150 people in front of me and I didn't make it up to the table until 2:05. The line moved a little bit then stopped for 10 min, then moved a little bit and stopped again, etc. Eventually some people at the back of the line started yelling to move the line a little faster and the goofball "marshalls" or whatever you call them realized some people were just chatting away and not moving. This got the line going. Evidently they must have thought they were paid to just stand there.

Fortunately, I was able to get my football signed by the all-americans, but it was too late to get into the other line for the NFL players.

First of all I wonder why they separated the two and created two lines. Secondly, why the hell didn't they understand there would be crowds of people?! Honestly, their planning SUCKS.

Sorry man, didn't mean to create confusion. They had the statue blocked off so I waited by the fences surrounding him until 12:30 guess I just didn't see you. I do appreciate the generosity though for wanting to help.

I waited there by the fence near the tiger statue. I didn't see anyone who looked like a band member carrying a football. (I was wearing my tiger hat--see avatar.) I left at 12:15.

On the plus side, since I didn't have yours to do, I got a football signed for a good friend of mine who lives in Houston along with pictures of everyone as they signed the football.

Btw, I got to see Amanda Shaw play. She's fantastic.

If they put something together like this next year they absolutely HAVE to put it in the PMAC. It was hot as hell waiting out in that parking lot in the line. and

I got all the All-Americans but out of sheer luck. I was way near the back of the line, got up to where the line splits and they said "WE'RE SHUTTING IT DOWN!"

So I grabbed my sister walked up the where the entrance gate was and saw a hole in the barracades. Then I saw two little kids slip through I told my sister 'GO! GO! Follow them!" we slipped through then a couple guys behind us did and the security saw and kicked em out. My sis and I kept our heads down and they didn't tell us nothing.

GOt my posters signed!

I went to shake Cassanova's hand and knocked his water bottle over (thankfully the cap was secruely on) and then completely butchered what I wanted to say to him and mightve even called him an old man.

Doug Mareau was awesome. He seemed really appreciative that I told him I enjoy his insight on the radio broadcasts.

I took my kids on the kids club stadium tour. It was pretty cool and the kids liked it a ton. Josh Jasper was one of our group leaders, and my boys took a picture with him. besides the lack of planning it was a good time.

Someone told me they spotted him but I didn't believe them. Was he really out there?

It was pretty piss poor planning. I took my son to the mike kids club tour which was nice but it was 12:45 when I got out. I got in line for 12:50 for the all Americans and sttod in the sun with my 4 year old baking. We are both burnt to hell and back and after an hr and a half waiting, we were 10 people from the baracades when they said "sorry, were having to shut down, if you arent in the barricade, you won't be getting any autograph". Pretty shitty if you ask me. especially being thy close

I felt bad that happened to guys like you and many others. Really piss poor that you'd have the thing in the absolute BAKING sun and then pretty much give the bird to everyone by shutting it down.

I now remember seeing you...I thought of putting two and two together and asking if it was you. Happy to hear you got your stuff though.

Terrible planning, but then again, that's EXACTLY what I've come to expect from the LSU Athletic Department. And the marshalls are the same old power tripping old folks that should just be shot.

I was shut out when they closed the line. But I stuck around and sure enough I got Warren Capone, Glenn Dorsey, Tommy Casanova, Doug Moreau and Eric Alexander. Missed a shot at Josh Reed.

Basically, I'm disappointed because this was a unique shot at getting a lot of autographs on one item and the same time (I was getting two helmets done, one for my dad and one for my brother). I doubt I run into Kevin Faulk again or some others again.

Could've been a great event, but LSU butchers any good idea with piss poor planning.

I might've saw you waiting around. I almost felt like telling my sister to just not get a autographed poster and take something from one of you guys waiting to get signed. It really was awfully planned out

Excellent idea but terribly planned. Put it in the damn PMAC next time and don't screw everyone over like that. The staff is pretty terrible to and the old people who think they run the place are awful. I asked a old lady sipping on a bottle of water under a tent "Can you tell me where to get some water?" she said "This is private water..." and just smiled. Hey old lady

It's funny, the players are extremely nice (Capone and Cassanova are class acts easily) while the old marshals are such huge assholes.

If you saw a tall pale white boy in a white polo and two LSU helmets sitting in the shade behind where the autograph tents were, that was me.

And I really really really was hoping to run into my favorite Tiger, Rohan. He wasn't there (at the Letterman club party that was cordoned off).

Yeah I think I might've saw you. You're right about the event managers though. They just have no...people skills I guess you could say.

I'm just thankful I was able to sneak though the barricades after they shut it down. It's bullshite that a ton of those people were not able to get their stuff signed.

The players I find are always nice, it's the old staff guys that feel the need to go back to the days that never were. Give em a 2 way and they feel like they are big shite. As hot and as cranky as I was after cooking in the sun, if that lady would have smarted that stuck up bull shite to me, I would have probably taken it from her and thrown it on her
