never thought he was. If you are going to say that, say the same for Jared Mitchell. He is in the starting line up because of his glove. They both have produced very well so far.

I never thought he was... sorry if you don't believe that. I took him at face value in the beginning being a freshman. He always showed potential with the glove. The kid is going to be awesome for us with a year or two under his belt.

This team would win without Nola, be just as good or better, it's the team not just Nola that's playing at it's best!

You know LSU has a great lineup when you have a player with Nola's offensive potential batting 9th.

I think we would be better served with Nola hitting 7th or 8th and moving Helenihi or Mitchell to the 9th position.

I think you see the line up tweaked a bit. Whow was it that went 0-5 last night?

Sort of like Nola in the 9th spot.

He's one of those 9 hole hitters that sort of resembles a leadoff man. Works pitchers well. Even when he goes hit less in a game his box score reads like 0-2 run scored.

That was my point with putting Mitchell there. If we're batting Jared in the 7th hole then it might serve us well to have him in the 9th position as a table setter for the top of the lineup. But if Nola continues to hit he can fill that role as well. The thought originally occurred to me when Mitchell was pushed down in the order and Nola wasn't producing as much as he is now.

his glove alone makes him not a liability.

7 different guys (including NOLA now) have HR's in the CWS. We have the diversity.

So many clueless RANTards have no appreciation for the worth of a great defensive shortstop. Have pitty on them for they know nothing about baseball.

Almost as important as Mr. Gibbs behind the plate.

I can't believe they anchored that thread of greatness. That thread should be brought up everytime Nola gets a hit.
