Auburn's Defense Isn't A Pushover

I'm concerned about the notion that Auburn's defense is weak. After reviewing their games, I have a different opinion. They are quite capable of playing well when called on to do so. On top of this, their defense has scored or set up several scores for Auburn's offense.

They're very stingy to run on and force teams into passing situations. They dictate the situation of the opponents offense. Their offense appears to take advantage of mistakes by opponents.

Auburn has been behind at halftime in a number of games this year. It doesn't bother them at all. Our best opportunity may be to hang close (0 to 4 points behind) and score late in the game leaving little or no time left on the clock. Yeah, I know, this could be a problem with our coaching staff.

Just my thoughts.

Yes but can we take advantage? I expect their D to come out with something to prove, I hope our offense feels that they have alot to prove.

yeah. Petrino had nothing to do with that.

But yes their secondary is complete garbage and will be even worse with 2 more starters out.

You also cannot convince me that auburns D is better then floridas.

How did that turn out?

I think we blow it up to be honest. Don't worry my friend

i agree. The difference is the potential for our offense is much more then the potential of the auburn D.

I hope.

They've been a terrible secondary since last year. They have some good players in the front 7 but overall, they're a pretty bad defense.

It says a lot when you have a dominant dlineman getting the pressure he does and the DBs still can't find ways to make plays.

Difference in AU, is on offense they have one all world player. Everyone else around him is average. They rack yards up because everyone is so keyed on Newton. On LSU's offense, they're stacked at the skill positions, just nobody to get them the ball...

Auburns defense has already hit it's potential and is now on it's way down due to injuries and fatigue. Their defense has hadto play a full intense 4 quarters almost every game.
However, LSU's offense has already hit rock bottom but has all te potential to get better with Lee getting more snaps, the addition of JC Copeland and fresh legs at RB with (ford).

Saying all of this, AU doesn't want to play from behind gainst our defense. If we can keep their gains short and force Cam to throw, we will get some picks. AU may have some above average WR but we have elite DB's that have handled far better recievers.

The game, like most, will be decided at the line of scrimmage. How well we contain Cam or Cam's ability to get loose.

1 more thing, AU has a ton ofexpirience on the Oline but so does LSU. However, LSU has a TON of depth on their dline so let's see how fresh those legs are in the 4th.

I have no idea who will win this game. All I have to say is that Is this is one team Les better not let up on. I don't care if we somehow put a 3 possession lead over AU, Les better not let up. They can score to fast to play around with them in the 4th.
