Auburn crowds 5-10 yards beyond the LOS to shut down the short routes and trusts their DL to pressure the QB.

This alone tells you why we're fricked. If their weakness is secondary then their weakness matches up perfectly to not be exploited by us. We can't pass block and we can't throw down field. I'd put a million dollars on it that they are working overtime this week on prepping their guys on stopping the jet sweeps.

Our only chance IMO is for our defense to make some big plays that turn the complexion of the game. We have the talent to do that, especially with Herron back bolstering the line and hopefully Lawrence getting healthier. We need the defense to step up big time if we're going to have any shot.

My prediction is Auburn by 14 but I'd love to be proven wrong.

LSU beat a team starting a true freshman by 1 point. LSU is not good this year.

He is a redshirt freshman (you should know this) and he is already built like Joe Flacco.

And LSU lost to Troy, we already know they aren't good. But they are better this week than last.

Bama was up by 14 at the half and up by 15 until aTm scored with :17 seconds left. aTm played hard but they were never in that game.

But if you are a bama fan, are you a little upset that the score was so close? Given that aTm was never in the game?

What does this have to do with anything? Are you trying to imply that UF was never in the game Saturday?

That's why they have to run the ball effectively. Have to block #5 Nick Coe as he's their anchor. If they can get 4 yards a pop the PA game comes open.

I expect the defense to play well. They're a physical zone running team but they spread it out and try to throw when in a bind and that plays into LSU's strength. Have to create some negative plays and tackle better.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them win by two touchdowns. I just don't think they'll win be 3-4 scores like some are predicting.

Are you deliberately trying to not understand my point?

I'm saying sometimes the score is closer than what you would prefer. But you win the game doing what you have to do, and move on.

It was the first example I could think of

They've looked so good thus far because their DL has been dominating inferior opponents.

With a number of freshmen, LSU may have to play on the OL Saturday, I'm not sure how this statement is supposed to make me feel better.

You're not really making a point.

Ah

Well that was a really shitty example then.

That Dline reeked havoc on the #2 team in the country's OLine

It shouldn't. It'll be the biggest talent discrepancy on the field. The offense will have to win the game.

That OL they wreaked havoc on is allowing 2.33 sacks a game. LSU is allowing 1.33.

Clemson's leading rusher is also their QB. I'm not saying their OL isn't good but they're not the shining pinnacle of OLs.

LSU barely won against Florida in 2014 after getting destroyed by Auburn and Moo State They then went on to pretty much beat Alabama and choke the game away. I don't get you guys.

Piss off dude, it was the first thing I said in this thread. Margin of victory shouldn't matter when you are desperate for a win.

This very week last year they blasted Arkansas 3-56!

Since we are discussing last year, how many touchdowns did Auburn score vs LSU?

I'll hang up and listen.

It most certainly matters when it's being used to proclaim the team is "improving".

Yeah you are right. We just lost to Troy for our homecoming game. Then we come out and beat UF the next week in the swamp. No rational person could believe that is an improvement. It was only one point.

I mean seriously, if we break a run for a TD on that last drive, is anything different?

You're the one using 2014 as a measuring stick. Not us.

At this point, is there anything to suggest that Troy isn't better than Florida?

Are you asking if there's a difference in putting the game away on your last possession vs. punting and giving the opponent one last shot to win it?

Do you honestly want me to answer that question?
