Secondly, when you only need a yard don’t run eight yards back to hand the ball off.

Goat, just a thought...maybe he should've given the thread a different name so that everyone will read it and do their OWN research. (IF they happen to disagree and want to see for themselves)..maybe something like "ATTENTION ALL TIGER FANS!!"

this link was crazy in relevancy to today, and you know, Crowton does seem like a really nice guy, but he is not cutting it...I just hope we don't get a "quality, need for want, looking at this, fixing that" load from Coach Miles, I would hope he wouldn't tarnish his name for sticking with an OC that's not producing. Bless Crwoton and his family, but bless them elsewhere.

Any thoughts or interpretations from Nostradamus?

Explain this, genius:
Crowton joined the Tigers after a two-year stint as the offensive coordinator at Oregon, where he overhauled the Ducks offense into one of the best in the nation. In 2006, Oregon ranked No. 9 in the nation in total offense, averaging 422.8 yards per game, which included 241 through the air and 182 on the ground. Oregon led the Pac-10 in both total offense and rushing. The Ducks posted a 7-6 mark as they reached the Las Vegas Bowl.
In his first year with Oregon in 2005, Crowton produced an offense that tallied the second-highest totals in school history in passing yards (304.5 per game) and points (34.5 per game). The Ducks ranked No. 8 in the nation in passing, No. 12 in scoring and No. 18 in total offense on their way to posting a 10-2 overall mark and reaching the Holiday Bowl.

afraid you have those stats backwards for one thing. im not EVEN going to touch on the HISTORY of downfalls from Crowton's offenses. Not to mention whats going on with OUR offense (before you say O-Line and QB, remember-hes responsible for designing plays/game planning to enhance our strengths, and stay away from our weaknesses. hes responsible for our QB's growth or lack thereof) i dont dislike Crowton as a person. i just dont think hes right for our team or QBs.

Well, I just checked. LSU had it right.
TOTAL OFFENSE
2006 Oregon -- #9 in NCAA
2005 Oregon -- #18 in NCAA

Any pressure from the TAF yet?

yes, LSU was wrong.
Following Ludwig's departure, Gary Crowton was hired to take the vacated offensive coordinator position.[49] The 2005 season saw a dramatic improvement from the 2004 season, going 10-1 in the regular season with its only loss to the number one ranked USC Trojans.
The 2006 season started off well, winning four games to open the season,[50] including a controversial win against Oklahoma in the third game where there were questionable reviews by the officials late in the game,[53] although some have noted there were terrible calls throughout the game that also went against the Ducks.[54] However, the team fell apart later in the season, going 3-5 for the remainder of the regular season, doomed by frequent turnovers.[50][55] The Ducks were selected to play against the BYU Cougars in the Las Vegas Bowl, losing 8-38 in a dismal performance.[56]
