ATL area Tigers: Info on Mardi Gras events this weekend

LSU ATLANTA'S MARDI GRAS STORY LINK
I have two faves on my list, starting with Zydefunk's King Cake Party Friday night at Northside Tavern on Howell Mill (cover $10) You get a slice of La.-made king cake and the one who gets the baby will be dragged onstage, dressing in a cape and crown and made to dance like a fool with the band. (Zydefunk, lead by Lafayette's own Charlie Wooton, will be our crawfish boil band on April 25th.)
On Saturday I'll be at an all day bash at Front Page News in Little Five Points - they will have five bands, drink specials, crawfish etc. I'm going to see the Squirrel Heads at 5:30 followed by Kingsized at 7:15, decent music there. DISCOUNT 1/2 PRICE TICKETS can be had for LSU fans by going to their website and entering the code "LSU" when ordering and printing your tickets online.
It's ain't like home, but it ain't that bad either!

Kingsized is worth the price of admission. Nice horns and a booming lead singer that is kinda like Luther Kent Lite. Thanks for the heads up!
