Mett has a beautiful pass down field, but I am worried about the routes over the middle and the 10 yard throws. Hoping he can prove me wrong and really make those things work.
I hate out fan base. We are so quick to say something negative about our own players. ZM has shown nothing to warrant worry about his intermediate passing. Nothing

He could be Bray, Wilson, Murray, and I would still be somewhat concerned about those important 10 yard passes with Mett's limited playing time. This has nothing to do with me doubting his abilities as a QB, but more about the polarizing feeling one is likely to get when stepping between the white lines on a Saturday Night against the SEC's bes
This statement makes no sense...........you just listed the top 3 qbs in the SEC and you would still be worried.

Yes, it is. When you have no cause for concern then something is baseless. Has Mett ever displayed an inability to make those passes...?

I said it as if it was their first years as an SEC starting QB. You don't think Arkansas fans were a bit hesitant about Tyler Wilson's accuracy when Mallett left? Again, Wilson is an extremely talented QB, but with no SEC starting experience, it is far from unreasonable for a fan to be a bit concerned as to how he will respond in his first SEC start.
GD...

Mett sounds like he has the chest to lead this team to a title.

Damn. Left to see the bashing. I just noticed in the Spring game that I wasn't as impressed with his passes over the middle as I hoped. Dude has a beautiful deep ball, but obviously he was picked off a couple times over the middle and I just didnt see him reading the right spot to put the ball.
I am in no sense a nega-tiger, but I am a realist. It's gonna be his first year playing against top D Backs and he can't necessarily beat everyone with his arm as much as he will need to use his head.
Sorry for any people who took my comment as the dude sucks or something. Just looking forward to seeing him develop into a well balanced quarterback.

I tried to hold back the tight asses, but they jumped all over me.

Lawdy, lawdy. You guys are right. Y'all worry yourself about his mid-range passes. I'll fap to how, ultimately, he'll be infinitely better than Jefferson and Lee.

I of course think Mett will be much much better than either of those two. I do not compare QB's to them... That's like comparing our team to a high school team.
I was comparing him to elite college quarterbacks, cause that is where I think he belongs. He will be a great QB at LSU, but I want to see improvement in his midrange timing routes. Thats all.
