I've been saying for three years, 2011 we win it all again. And the stars are aligning for it

Except that part where Arky wins the west and LSU comes in third behind MSU. The delusion is set in stone in this fanbase.

Arkansas had their best team (talent wise) in about 50 years this year and they still didn't win the west..
Same for MSU (#5)....
Did someone say something about dilusional?

Yeah. I said little ol Arky will win the west, and the upstart MSU will crank out a very good #2 placing in 2011, while the tigers finish a strong third.

I didn't say anything about '04.. Nor did the guy I was quoting..

It seems that you are saying UA was a bigger in 2010 after the NC than LSU was after the 2003 NC. You are wrong, while LSU did go 11-2 in 2005, they were 9-3 in 2004. With the same coach.

****LSU went 8-5 (3-5 SEC) in 2008 after NC.

Saban blew a 17 point lead to the probable heisman trophy winner and a 11-0 team. LSU blew a 21 point lead in 05 to an eventual 5-6 team, at home. Which do you think is a bigger fail?

Yes, and the hurricane that passed a couple of days prior which also came after the worst natural disaster in US history has NOTHING to do with it.

The team was out of shape at that point.

At the very least it puts an asterisk on the game.

What's Saban's excuse?

I'm not saying that at all.. i was simply commenting on the guy saying that us losing to Tenn. in 2005 was worse than Bama losing to Auburn in 2010... a loss is a loss..

And going with the original title of the post.. being 10-2 is better than 9-3.. so hell yeah.. at least we're not bama..

Sorry, my bad.
FWIW I didn't want to be a part of UA even when they were 14-0. LSU all the way, even when I don't agree with coaching styles.

I don't know why more people don't acknowledge this when talking about that loss. By the 4th quarter, they were tired mentally and physically from all they had been through in the days and weeks before this. They regrouped and had a great season.

Notice that there are not a whole lot of gumps on the board after the Auburn game.... ..although we'll have to listen to the Auburn fans and hogs all summer..at least until Auburn has to vacate all its wins...

On a practical level - LSU exceeded expecatations..
Bama underacheived.
SO yeah.. I'd rather our position over theirs.
And on a more primal level.. frick YEAH - At least we're not BAMA! We're LSU

No Bama flags on the way to work this morning. The gumps are humbled. And damn right, WE'RE LSU
