outta control. I truly believe we have one of the nicest parks now in America but every camera angle you see an ad. The absolute worst is the camera view from the outfield fence aiming towards home plate.

we could just sell the naming rights and call it petco or minute maid park instead of alex box

Why don't you make an offer to recoup their advertising dollars with an anual donation?

Money talks, and B.S. walks.

So is that Tony's sign actually there, or is it added on the TV like MLB?

It's a matter of degree. Why don't we sell the space on top of the dugouts? Inside the dugouts? Let's put "Tony's Seafood" on first base. How about "Mike Anderson's" pitching rubber? One can always argue that there is potential ad revenue somewhere else in the stadium. You have to draw the line somewhere, and I think we've crossed that line. And no, I'm not going to write a check to keep Alex Box from becoming nothing but a billboard with some grass and dirt mixed in. Just my opinion, and that's free!

haha, i bet you enjoy having umps and refs make shitty calls bc its "part of the game" and the "human element" too huh?

Being somebody who understands the game of baseball and it's general dynamic, I can certainly accept these things, even if I don't necessarily enjoy them.

Everyone who wants to leave all the advertising signage decisions at the New Box up to Padge1 raise your hands.

Now, I'd also like to make decisions regarding the selling of beer at the Box. If you're going to sell it to the big donors, sell it to the rest of us and make money. I'm not sure how much they make from each sign, but I bet they would make more money selling beer! And it might make the dogs and burgers taste better. Well, probably not.

Even the dirt is painted turf - it sucks for baseball.
Field Turf on a baseball is so nice to play on.
