Kind of easy to have a higher ypc when none of our rbs had 100 carries on the year. There is a reason all career and single season records have a minimum amount to qualify for the records.

I didn't include the last game, but their total for the season was 1583 yards, 5.4 ypc and 27 TDs. All 4 backs were productive with a minimum of 5 TDs and Emery actually finished with the lowest average of 4.9 ypc

I've never heard a RB or offense say that RBs typically have a higher average with less carries. Typically RBs improve when they get between 15-20 carries per game and the OL benefits from the consistency as well.

I do not want to go back to being a "running" team. Our offenses were so hard to watch during most games.

Do we need to improve our running game next season to be more efficient running the ball? Sure but we do not need to go back to being a running team like before. Complimentary football is the only thing that is needed next year.

What is easier to do....
Have 10 yards per carry after 1 carry
Or
Have 10 yards per Carry after 100 carries

What's harder to do?
Win 10 games once
Or
Average 10 wins for a decade

There is a reason there is mandatory minimums on yards per records.

FACT: when you can run at will, and stop the run defensively, you win 90%+ of your games!

A balanced attack is always best.

We were basically a triple option team this year.

You continue to be one of the dumbest SOBs on this board. There is zero chance that you aren't related to Ed Orgeron in some fashion.

LSU is top 5 SEC in yds, compl, cmpl%, and pretty much every passing stat.
Easy obtainable info, so not sure if it's stupidity or mostly hate for anything not Orgeron.

We were 4th in the SEC this season in total yds of O.
2021 we were 11th.
2020 we were 5th
2018 we were 9th
2017 we were 7th
2016 we were 9th
2013 we were 7th
2007 we were 1st
2004 we were 6th

I don’t know what LSU football others have been watching, but you take out Joe’s year and this year‘s total offensive production ranks pretty good within the SEC.

I'm fine with the evolution of the offense... but i despise the fact that we don't practice going under center for the 1-2yd sneak.
