After this mandatory vaccination news, I can’t do it anymore. I just can’t deal with this government overreach.

I’m thinking maybe OU or WV, since I don’t think they’ll bend the knee to the dems.

I am vaccinated just got my positive test result a few minutes ago, so I understand the frustration. Our local school mandated masks and my kids wore them, but it didn’t stop COVID from tearing through the school to the point that they went remote for two week and hybrid after that. They brought it home to me and I got it, just like many vaxed people do. The mask and vac mandates are not going to meaningfully prevent the spread of COVID for all the reasons previously mentioned. It is what it is.

That said, administrations come and go. I have no love for Willam Sherman, but it doesn’t bother me that he was once the head of what would become LSU. It isn’t the end of the world that I don’t care for the current lot and their politics, either.

LSU is my alma mater and I’m going to support my Tigers no matter who is in charge or what they do. It won’t stop me from voicing my opinion about them, but to stop cheering for a team because of petty (and temporary) politics is pretty ridiculous. It’s your right, but that doesn’t make it a smart decision that others will praise you for.

Why didn’t you stop when they required chicken pox shot or MMR and all of the other shots you are required to get as a child?

You people are unbelievable. Other SEC schools will do this as well…would you rather the stadium be at 50% capacity? Some of you need to get a grip.

I am not siding with the OP in any way. However, the frustration that some of us have is due to the fact that these measures are nothing more than window dressing. Vaccination doesn’t prevent infection from Delta and doesn’t prevent spread. This is proven scientific fact and I have the fresh COVID case to prove it. And Masks, especially poorly worn in a hot, packed stadium? Yeah, I see those staying on and doing their job.

If this really were about safety, we would still have limited capacities in stadiums. That is the only way to legitimately prevent spread. People don’t want that anymore and the schools want to make money again and I get all that. But let’s not pretend that these measures will actually prevent COVID spread at games. It’s just doing something for the sake of appearances.
