Grass but the drainage is what they are replacing and hopefully will keep the field in better shape and it won't look so torn up like it did in Auburn game.

Just clarifying the reason for my upvote is the comedic value here. My upvote in no way constitutes an endorsement of having that in Tiger Stadium.

The field will remain natural grass but the sidelines and surrounds will be artificial turf.

We've had lay down mats on sidelines and heavy travel areas but its been grass underneath and around.

The main playing surface is grass and the sidelines will be synthetic grass

Request was from Marrucci for the synthetic. The sidelines get worm down so much and the crown from edge of sidelines to stadium edge was dangerous to guys being able to stop themselves

Drainage was terrible and was leading to washouts under edges of the lower bowl.
