LSU has not proved they have a dependable run game yet, so this would probably be a great option

Have you factored in that maybe the QB play against them has been bad because they are are a really good defense?
That's a slow man's response. Literally look at how their QBs have done. Let's say you don't watch other games, or even listen to other people talk about other teams and QBs. All it takes is about 5 minutes to look up what these teams' QBs have done against other teams.

Okie St Bowman vs the Big 12 has been atrocious.

TAMU's RSFr Reed has started 3 games and has a top game of 178 pass yards. The week before Arkansas, vs Bowling Green, he threw for 173 yards at 6 yards an attempt with 2 TDs completing 55% of his passes. Against Arkansas he threw for 163 at 7.4 ypa with 2 TDs completing 50% of his passes

Auburn had a RS FR whose prior 2 games were vs an HBCU and a 2-4 New Mexico. That Arkansas Auburn game reminded me of LSU/Arkansas 2021 when we played Nuss as a true freshman and he stunk it up. Thorne sucks, but he got in that game after they took the freshman out and completed 59% for 215 yards (9.7 ypa) with 2 TDs to 1 int.

Nico has disappeared once he started playing SEC teams (however the pace of their offense and the WRs are doing him zero favors).

UAB's QB play looks terrible, but they did a lot vs Arkansas (72% 235 yards 3 TDs 1 int, 7.3 ypa).

In all honesty, Arkansas could be the worst power 5 pass defense we have played so far. Sure, UCLA has a way worse one by rank (68th to 116th), but UCLA has played 5 top 35 pass offenses, including 3 in the top 13 (those are super legit). Arkansas has played TWO top 30 pass offenses, including one that was 16th (Okie St) and their next best is 61st Tennessee. However Tennessee's pass offense vs power 5 teams is actually 82nd, and Oklahoma St's pass offense goes to 21st. That 21st pass offense threw for 325 yards 1 TD 1 int vs Arkansas. What do you think the #7 pass offense vs power 5 only teams, does to Arkansas?

Now, do what you will with this info.

Nussmeier is head and shoulders better than those guys as a passer

Nuss will likely need to have a better game overall than he had last game IMO.

Their best DB that played against OK state will also be out.

I’m curious how much pressure we bring in this one. Travis Williams usually loves blitzing but the LSU OL is so good at pass blocking that I almost wonder if a softer coverage would be better to give the secondary some more help on the back end if it doesn’t result in pressure either way.
your best bet is to play coverage. You don't have the pass rush to get to LSU. You need 6 DBs in coverage all game. LSU throws all game. Nuss hasn't thrown under 37 times in any game. He's on pace for 4312 yards and 39 TDs.
