FWIW, Petrino is a hell of a QB developer. Their backup is better than anything we have right now.

It's not about his coaching, it is him.

Petrino wanted the lsu job and is pissed miles got it. The only reason your good this year is because rich rod went to Michigan and mallet transferred home. Take mallet off your team you have five loses. I know you think your backup is good but no film was on him and he played horrible teams.

That hate of Bobby Petrino is grossly overblown.
Atlanta was not a victim in that situaion, nor were the players.
The thing that a lot of fans do not understand (often because they lack sophistication in big business) is that when most organizational leaders quit or are fired, they are immediately segregated from their teams or those they lead. They have to come back at night or weekends to get personal possessions, under security.
A dirty little secret the Falcons organization doesn 't want you to know is that they promised Petrino the Vick situation was no big deal, it would blow over and he'd be able to play ball. Atlanta also doesn't want you to know that they had numerous cancers in their locker room that they immediately got rid of after that season (remember the players wearing "Free Vick" shirts).
Petrino was told by AD Long to get on the plane tonight or we're going with Muschamp. Long did a very good job of hot boxing Petrino.
It is much easier for people/fans to armchair QB how Petrino should have handled the situation when they have no idea how those things work to begin with.

No, he's not a swell guy (I don't intend to say that). I completely understand if you prefer Miles to Petrino. Miles has a very good record at LSU.

Two grest players did LSU in this year both first rounders Mallet and Newton. The hogs don't have another Mallet and Arburn doesn't have another Newton. LSU is a young team.

Petrino does better with his talent than Miles does with his. Still, LSU's talent will win more games in the coming years than Arkansas.
