Your operative word being seems. No way you can prove it though.

You damn skippy

We are on the verge of signing the best class in CFB. I dont give a frick what Rivals are any other recruiting source says.

This class along with the others already here will yield at least one more crystal ball.

I would like to hear who these anti-Miles people think LSU could realistically hire who would be more successful than Miles. I don't mind playing in Cotton Bowls and Capital One bowls if we can play in a Bcs bowl sometimes. Those are not "middle of the road" bowls. Miles is .500 against the geniuses, Saban and Meyer. LSU is trending upward (8, 9, 11 wins) and will have a top 5 preseason ranking for 2011 with 16 starters coming back. Arkansas and Auburn lose their QBs. It looks like Alabama and LSU will be the favorites to win the SEC.

Yes but would not have been heartbroken if he had left. He will need to do a better job if he is going to win another national championship.

Not me. I like Miles enough but odds say him staying gives LSU a less than 10% chance of winning another NC while he is coaching at LSU.

Not saying its impossible but the chances arent very good. It rarely happens.

Why wouldn't you be happy. We have a guy that wants to be in BR, that other teams want, has a 62-17 record at LSU, a NC, 28-1 against out of conference team...What's not to be happy with. Go Les.

Start with A and go to Z?

No team that has won a BCSNC has done so with a coach that has been there more than 5 yrs, except once.

Odds say Miles staying gives LSU less than a 10% chance at winning another NC. Period.

I like Miles enough and dont mind him staying but the reality is, LSU most likely will not win another NC with Miles as the coach.

Thats an aweful way to compare coaching ability..

You really think that Charlie Mac is the 5th best LSU coach?

You mean the coach who sat Bert Jones on the bench half of every game to do his 2 quarterback system? The guy who routinely punted on 3rd down? Those who think our OC is too conservative would have gone ape$hit. Coach Miles has the best winning record in LSU history. If that metric is not good enough for you, root for a team that values losing.

I am very happy he is staying. The about Miles - for me at least - is that he is very happy being LSU's head coach rather than just a head coach. Compared to some of the coaches of the other elite teams, he seems to be very happy where he is at rather than being where he is for now. He just doesn't have that mercenary streak that many other coaches have.

That's just my one and a half cents worth.

VERY! I was on the verge of depression last night, thinking he was leaving.

So relieved and ecstatic he is our coach still
