You're absolutely right, but the recruiting board will tell you our current class is awesome and you're star gazing.

That's why you DONT hire a coach with a terrible head coach resume. That was highlighted by LSU losing seven of the state's top ten recruits this past season after O was named head coach. I have serious concerns over our years of top ten recruiting taking a nose dive after we get killed with the Troy defeat.

After we fired our long tenured coach midseason?

This is fuching moronic. Bama keeps winning national titles with 5*’s.

O is recruiting the big names, he’s not landing them.

bullshite.

Justin Rogers is a top 30 player in the country committed to TCU.

Jamar Chase is a top 30 player in the country committed to Florida.

Kevin Joseph is a top 50 player in the county, decommitted from LSU. Recent CB has him to Bama.

Davonta Jason is a top 150 player. Committed to Kansas.

He has time to correct it but it doesn’t look good. Also I really hate that we’re taking Tae Provens instead of Slade Bolden. I’ve watched their film and Slade looks much better.

I wish he would lock down LA.

It would be really nice if they would have landed Etienne instead of missing on Akers.

So you're bitching about the recruiting class ranking and then wanting to take one 3-star over another 3-star? WTF ???

Why not sign five 5-stars at the position?

You think that will stick? He committed on a visit there. UF has had major changes recently.

"The blue-chip defensive back maintained that the Tigers were his No. 1 team even after de-committing on Oct. 2. Joseph echoed those sentiments again at his Army jersey presentation.

Kelvin Joseph has LSU at the top

If LSU gets Surtain, Cook and Campbell he may go to Bama. https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/display.aspx?sp=73228925&s=2&p=73222978#73228925

Yes, LSU is ONE of the youngest teams in the country. The first game of the season they started 4 true freshmen - the most in the nation.

Since then 4 more true freshmen have started for a total of 8 true freshmen starting during the first eight games of the season.

LSU has played 20 true freshmen this year and when including the REDSHIRT freshmen who have played LSU IS a very young team.

If Les had a recruiting class like this as of now this board would be losing their minds

I refuse to lower the standards

I really hope you don't believe that

Not that 3 stars can't be elite but its not as common

I would rather stick with continuous classes of 4 and 5 stat players

This is not the normal fire a losing coach thing. We fired a successful coach after having a nationally ranked team and a high nationally ranked recruiting class. Wake up. It shouldn't take time for a program like LSU to be successful against a program like Troy.

None of what you posted explain away the beat down by a less talented Mississippi State or the shite in our bed loss to a fricking SBC Troy.

The success of any program is determined by your starters. Reserves play a role, but there is a reason they are reserves.

LSU has always had young guys playing a role on the team. This is nothing new and hasn't been used as a excuse for failing up to this year. I wonder why.

It's a fact. That statement is taken from the LSU website. Pretty stupid on your part to pick that statement to argue.

Are your three brain cells locked up? Hit the side of your head. Who said anything about losses or explaining anything other than LSU is a very young team.

Very good well thought-out statement on your part. One of the brain cells must have broken loose. Congrats !!!

Why are you stuck on this having to be an excuse? Kinda weird. It is a simple fact to answer the OP's question asking if LSU is one of the youngest teams in the nation. You okay?

The true fact is there are many teams in college football and in the SEC with younger number of starters than LSU.

The graphic below was shown during the Ole Miss game. LSU had 4 true freshmen starters in the 1st game of the season - the most in the country. Since then 4 other true freshmen have started. That's 8 TF starters.

Tell the board of all the other teams that have had that many freshmen start. I won't patiently await your answer because you won't have one because no one has started more TF than LSU.

Are you nuts? That's for freshman played and says nothing about starter youth. LSU always play a lot of young guys.

As I recall, LSU has 17 juniors and senior starters. That's not a young team for starters and is the reason LSU is not considered to be a young team by anyone with any sense.
