but Woody will go with the least amount of risk and a first time head coach at ULL ain’t it.

What in Woodward's history of coaching hires leads people to believe Napier is even a possibility?

I don’t understand why people keep saying “he’s one of us.”

This foolish tendency was thoroughly addressed by Kurt Vonnegut Jr in Cat's Cradle. He coined the term "granfalloon" to describe a false coterie. "Hoosiers" was the group he poked the most fun at.

Vonnegut's point was a good one. Your "group" is not some granfalloon based on where you were born; it is an association of philosophically similar people. In the case of LSU's next coach, who cares where he is from?

In 2011, we couldn’t score either. He got better from his mistakes and moved on. Nobody has a perfect resume. It’s good to see someone overcoming adversity.

I think it would be a bad look to take a HC from another instate school

This is a terrible reason not to hire someone

If he is the weight guy, get him. Who cares if he’s coming from an in state school.

Wouldn’t be surprised if a lower level power 5 school picked him up.

He’s already turned down South Carolina and Auburn.

He’s not my top pick, but the dude can coach and will be at a top program whenever he wants. He’s obviously waiting for the right fit.

Can't hire Napier bc he was fired from Clemson yet a lot of the fanbase would be fine with Kiffin or Cristobal. Makes a ton of sense

You are absolutely correct. O got fired from Ole Miss, yet look where he is today.

Don't forget that National Championship thingy. O gets credit for that. He's on his way out, but he put together a team that gave LSU and perhaps CFB its most impressive year ever.
