Whats so great about the flagship agenda anyway? When I was at LSU the only thing I noticed about it was all my classes had at least 500 people in them. My biggest class at ULL has 250.

What classes you taking? I've been at LSU for 5 years and I've only had one class with that many people (BIOL 1201).

Plane Trig, Biol (1002?), an introductory English class, a couple more that I can't remember off the top of my head. It's been awhile since I was at LSU. I know part of the flagship agenda was having more PHD's in front of the class, I think it was kinda stupid though. I'm at U-La-La now though, the smaller classes are nice, but I'm also getting into my core classes, so that's the main difference I guess

Yeah, because core classes at LSU are much smaller as well. I haven't had a class larger than about 50 (and rarely approaching this number) for the past 3 years.

Yeah I took a couple 3000 level classes at LSU, they were always about 30-35 people. At ULL my 300 and 400 level classes are about 20-25, no big difference really. Great professors at both schools, LSU has a prettier campus though.

General Studies, at LSU, my minors were psychology, sociology, and polisci, but at ULL, it's simply a concentration in behavioral studies. BS degree I know, but I'm not planning on getting a career based on my degree.

Awesome, why did ESPN call us Louisiana several times???
Because they are dumbf*cks, that's why. Wow, you are one bitter little man. I think changing from USL to ULL was largely at the Lt. Governor's urging. And I'm sure she didn't have an ulterior motive.

I'll have to go ahead and call BS on that.
There is only one room on campus that is capable of housing 500+ students.
And most auditorium courses are capped at 250.

Why change now? Oh wait...you have never aspired beyond sub-par before. Way to raise the bar.

Which is simply sooooo pathetic.

an introductory English class
I'm calling BS on this one, dude. No introductory English class is that big because they're all composition classes. (As a present-day English teacher, I can promise you that not even a low-level instructor will grade that many essays every week of a semester.) I was an English major at LSU, and I never--and I mean NEVER--had an English class with more than 35 people. For what it's worth, I took a SUMMER English class at ULL and it had 35+ people.
And having more PhDs is not only a pedagogical imperative; it adds credibility to our status as a research institution.

Doesn't really matter....our dear Chancellor is of the opinion that research isn't really that important and he is trying to dismantle the few things that sets our university at the top in the country.

I actually pulled it up and it is the same for math...none of the low level classes go above 35.
He is just full of shite. I wouldn't be surprised if he never went to LSU, because if he did he would know that the only building on campus that can handle 500+ students is the Cox center.
Either that or he just can't count, in which case I am glad he is officially an ULa-La alum.

Certainly have not read this entire thread. But against the advice given early on I went to raginpagin.com. Allow me to attest to the laughter I have experienced since. Granted there were alot of realistic people who thought a 45-9 score was legitimate. But I love the overwhelming picks of ULLLL-24,LSU-21. It was hilarious. To Not just think they'd keep it close or even beat the spread. But to think that would actually win. Hahahahahahahhah. It wa a good last thing to read before bed. Thanks ulllll fans. Thanks for being so silly with your hope and such.
