I was a huge miles supportor. I had his back up until yestersday. After not calling timeout with 20 secs left in the game, then Tolliver makes the catch, and we dont have our Special teams ready to sprint out there and kick a field goal?... After all of this i think that was the straw that broke the cammels back in my support for miles.
I just dont understand LSU. A team blitzes 6 straight times and they can not do anything about it. They still have their recievers run these long time consuming routs. It is simply rediculous when fans (who sit on their couch and get paid nothing) could manage a game better then our coaching staff...
Some people said that when tolliver caught the ball, they let a couple of seconds run off after he was down. It dosent matter, miles should have called timeout, and because he didnt we lost

I also dont understand why we were dropping 10 yds back on a pass when we were within field goal range... we should have run the ball 3 straight times and had jasper kick like a 44 yd field goal for the win...
This is rediculous!

When Tolliver caught the ball LSU had no timeouts. I could read Miles' lips to one of the assistants, he thought they had another timeout! The Tigers should not have even been able to spike the ball because, once the ball was set the clock should have started, not on the snap. The game was lost on the 3rd down play to Ridley when the clock went from 32 seconds to 9 seconds before calling the time out. Poor clock managemnet lost the game, Jefferson getting sacked lost the game, the screen to Ridley for a loss, lost the game!
All that said, I still think Miles is ok, but clock management is a continuing problem with him and his staff.

i still support Les but he definatley needs to get his head out of his arse. this one game tested my support but he is still a good coach and i believe he can get it turned around.

I don't think he should be the Coach, but as long as he is, I support him.

how can you lose track of your timeouts?

What makes you think he is a good coach? Anyone can recruit LSU, so other than recruiting what makes him a good coach? I suspect there are many other NCAA coaches that could do a lot more with LSU's talent.

I still support Miles - the question is whether the players still support him. Perhaps the most telling event will be whether the media, fanbase, and global sportsworld puts so much negativity toward Miles that he is incapable of pulling it all back together. In such case, only the players can stand up for their coach and demand that the fans and media "back off". Unfortunately, in this day and age of "I WANT IT NOW AND ALL THE TIME", there is little room or time allowed for forgiveness and redemption. Because I truly respect Miles for the good things he's done to endear himself to LSU and his players, I hope he gets a chance to prove the detractors wrong.

So what happened with Archer and Hallman? Even DiNardo couldn't shut the flood gates during his time.
