Gotta love how this was teased as an actual question. Then you repeat the "question" in the middle of your own rant, and with your answers.
quote:
"...you Miles supporters are delusional. If you are a die hard LSU fan and want to believe the best no matter what, then fine that is your choice."
I don't fit into your definitions of a "Miles supporter," but it was mighty nice of you to give others here your permission for them to have their own opinions.

Hilarity ensues. Guys like you wouldn't know objectivity if it banged you all night. I see there are 3 pages on this thread, I hope you and your boyfriends enjoyed them on your date-night...

Everyone else sees the record, the play on the field and the mismanagement.
Just because we all "see" these things doesn't mean that's all we see. An LSU fan isn't "delusional" just because they have ideas, strong opinions and are also critical of other problems from the past two years.
Don't know if you're just a natural pain in the arse, but maybe, as an Army fan, you're still crying about losing to Navy yesterday (for the 8th straight year) and got knocked out of the EagleBank Bowl. So UCLA takes your place in that storied bowl game and you get to watch it on TV.
Look, Miles may not be the brightest crayon in the box, but his LSU team is 9-3 and will play in the Capital One Bowl vs. Penn State. The EagleBank Bowl? Can you imagine if LSU had to wait for the final week of the regular season to see if they could back-in to a bowl like that one? Sucks to be you.
Sorry, but your assertions, "facts," and empty-calorie arguments in your posts (especially on this thread) only prove you don't have much to offer, other than your angry and excessive negative stance on the status of LSU's football program.

Sorry for this late reply to the OP but....
I tried this and just woke up in the hospital. Apparently the first thing I did as a lifelong bama fan was shoot myself in the head. However as a lifelong bama fan I missed, shot my ear instead, pissed and crapped my pants and passed out. Oh well tis the life of a lifelong bama fan. Rawl Tahd.

I see Bama losing some of their best defenders on defense and LSU replacing Senior lineman with more aggressive DLineman. I see the replacements of Black and Hitt with bigger and more atheletic lineman. I see LSU playing Bama during this two year "greatest" very well, with one loss in overtime and one with poor calls in the fourth quarter and our starting QB and starting TB hurt.
I see the running back situation for LSU better than this year with injured players returning and others to replace them. Ingram would still be Ingram if he had not won the Heisman. Winning this trophy changes football teams. Will he be better? We will see.
I see Jordan Jefferson going through only his second Spring Training in his career with a boat load of tape on this years starts and coming in as an athletic mobile QB who will be better than this year. (He made mistakes, but the OL was our real problem).
I see two new excitable assistant coaches coming from Tennessee and Florida, who obviously don't see the sky falling as so many LSU fans do.
I see good things for LSU next year. We have a coach who is catching hell because of mistakes made and not getting credit for the good things he has done.
Yeah, I like our chances. You will too after Spring Training and an objective look at Bama's defense next year.

But as far as LSU, the record book is not in your favor.
If you throw out the last two and half seasons, maybe.

You again. I was hoping you took my advice and went to the Gump board to polish Nicky's knob. You Gay for Saban types make me ill.
Is that something of Nicky's you're spewing in your sig?
Exhibit A: Typical pro-Miles well thought out defense mechanism. When mad, go ahead and throw out a "you are gay" reference. If I had a dollar for every homophobe reaction to those who suggest Miles is not a good coach I could buy out his contract.
Question for you Mr. Mensa - How many time outs does one have in a half?
Posted on 12/13/09 at 7:29 am to drizztiger
the loss to Ole Miss you say we were dominated and the stats say that is true then who gets the credit for keeping us in the game and having a shot at the end? All 3 losses we were in the game at the end. We lost to Bama with how many starters out? This team will be improved next year. Bama will be a tough game but in Tiger Stadium. Les will be prepared. Who else in the SEC had to play both Bama and Florida this past year? Defense will continue to improve and a young quarterback will continue to get better. Shut up and enjoy what we have done or move on.

LSU went 3-5 in a joke of a season in the SEC in 2008, they improved to 5-3, and will be even better next season.
LSU is 14-10 in the SEC the last 3 seasons, including the NC season. Bama is 20-4 during the same period with a rebuilding coach. Florida is 20-4 also with a coach with the same tenure as LSU's coach.
But yes, if we hold hands and pray long enough, we have the want. It's a fool proof plan.
Bama had experience at QB and Florida had Tebow. LSU started first yr QBs.
Losing QB,RB,and Best def player cost LSU the Bama game.
Did your coach win with first year QBs?
You never answer that question. Awaiting your response.

Therein lies the problem.
Why does every idiot saying the same damn thing for the one-millionth time have to start a new thread to speak what's on his mind(I use the term loosely)?
Put the "Miles sucks-Saban is great" bullshite in one giant thread.
This is a well-administered board. You can cuss and rant but not go overboard.
But Chicken, I honestly believe something needs to be done about confining all this non-substantive bullshite to just one or two threads.
Tiger Rant should be realistic and free-speech and not be known as a "rose colored glasses" board. I sure don't wear them.
BUT: TR doesn't need the reputation as a board where these idiot Nervous Nellies run wild and clutter this board up with threads.
I'm tired of having to wade through what is usually a splendid message board for something of substance instead of the same old shite like the thread-starter.
Agreed, too many threads saying the same thing.

all kinds of reasons LSU is on the way back. these things are cyclical and a program is not going to win every year. check the history of the sec (at least the last 20 yrs). next yrs teams will be completely different than this year. florida has had a great run and they seem to be cracking right now. they lose a lot of players this year. bama loses a lot of players this year and if they win the NC, expect the team to relax & start to cruise (similar to LSU in '04 and florida in '07). if bear bryant had been held to the same standards as miles, he would have been fired more than once. he had at least two 6-5 seasons. miles knows what it takes to get back and he's got it started. everyone seems to think noone else has the talent LSU has. that is wrong. bama's cupboard was not bare when saban got there and neither was florida's when meyer arrived. even so, the talent drop-off at ut and uga is not relevant and most of the other teams have almost as much talent also. it is natural to have a "let down" after winning the NC and it takes time to get back. i think miles chances of getting us there again are as good as ANY OTHER COACH available. the "coach dejour" is not the answer. continued great recruiting and better asst coaching is.

LSU got dominated on the field versus Ole Miss, then almost lucked into a win until the CEO had no clue wtf to do and lost the game for his players.
You can pretty much same similar things about Florabama. Florida should've lost to Arkansas and Mississippi State, but were given a few gifts by the men in stripes. Alabama, buy all intents and purposes should've lost to LSU and Tennessee. Please. Quit your bitchin'. Your doomsday act is getting rather old.

To quote one ex-LSU coach,"If you don't like the results, then you better change the way you are doing things. He didn't,now he is bad history. He should have taken his own advice. At least Miles seems that he is attempting to do something. He still has time to address the problem IMO and that is the O-Line working as a unit.Still has time but it is running short just like the offense.
