Yeah, Woodward wasn’t leaving A&M to come here and not be in control of his department.
I don’t know why this new reality has you so pissy, Rog, but it’s fun watching you spin even more than usual

What on earth are you talking about. We have hired a first rate offensive scheme and passing coordinator coach from the Saints. Let it play out. Orgeron has finally built amQB recruiting pipeline that we have not had since the earlym2000s. No one has concluded that 9 and 3 in last years case 10 and 3 is great. It is great from where we were.
We ended the year ranked 6th. Espn has LSU ranked 4th. With the 4 th highest probability of reaching the playoffs.
What exactly is it that you want. We were a dumpster fire 2.5 years ago. Now we are a top playoff contender. With an excellent recruiting pipeline. We still have Offensive line issues. And we play in the toughest conference in college football. Again What is it that you want

Woodward cannot unilaterally fire a coach who has a buyout.

I'm not the one who has been melting for two years because I didn't get my way.

Apparently I know better than you what this team is capable of.

They just want to complain about something and O is their target.

Uh, what?

Which is exactly why things won’t go well for O if his team fails to perform accordingly.

Dumpster fire!!!

meh, have you forgotten the butt raping we got from the refs in College Station ? Jimbo didn't finish 2nd in the West, Birmingham did.

It's not. No one is calling for his head right now. The OP is questioning those who freaked out at the mere suggestion Woodward would want to bring in his own guy eventually. ADs tend to do that, fair or not
bullshite. the OP and several others have stated that if you're not prepared to replace O with jimbo right now that you're an O lover and you put O above LSU football which is absurd.

Not a fan of the program, eh?

If you don’t think this was addressed in his negotiations to leave A&M you are sillier than I thought.
If a time comes when Woodward is ready to make a move, he will have full support.

Didn’t get my way?
You mean replacing an underachieving coach with a coach that wouldn’t underachieve? Yes, that would have been swell.
But you’re the one that has become an absolute laughingstock to anyone on this site that isn’t a blind homer to “your” guy.
It’s been fun watching you twist into a pretzel to defend the things you derided under the previous regime.

If you think Woodward can fire a coach with a buyout without getting approval, you're either naïve or just "special"

Absolutely. You're a fan of the previous coach, not the program.
You're absolutely eaten up with anger because you didn't get your way.

Do you think Woodward would have left his position without assuring that he would have the backing of the board regarding his decision when it comes to his department’s most important position?

I posted on this board for all to see that Miles should be fired if we didn’t win the West in 2016.
Do you have the conviction to do the same about your guy??
And only nerds and posers try to question someone’s fandom on a random message board.
It’s a loser’s move when they can’t defend their position.

This will be his sixth year as an SEC head coach. Surely he’s managed some type of championship in that time period, right?

I don't have a guy. I don't have your third world mentality about firing people if I don't get my way.
The current coach has a great chance of having a really good season, that's all I really care about right now. Unlike yourself, who just prays he fails so you can have your way.

As opposed to watching you twist into a pretzel to find reasons to cry about the current coaching staff.

You may not like this, but, objectivelyit’s still too early for a verdict on O
This is exactly the OP's point. This is the mentality that fans have sunk to. Orgeron is now in his 4th year, but its too early to measure his success? Yet …
Saban: took a team that was winless in the SEC and by Year 4 won it all. When only 2 teams were eligible.
Miles: took a BCS winning team and by Year 3 had won it all, and should have won a 2nd one in Year 7. When only 2 teams were eligible.
Orgeron: took over from two championship coaches, who had 3 teams in the championship, but hasn't even been hinted at to be in the playoffs. Despite 4 teams now being eligible.
Dabo: won his division in Year 4
Mahlzahn: SEC champ in Year 1
Jimbo: won his division in Year 3, the BCS in Year 4
Stoops: BCS champion in Year 2
Meyer: BCS champ in Year 2 at UF; BCS champ in Year 3 at OSU
Riley: playoffs in Year 1 & 2
Smart: playoffs in Year 2
Helfrich: playoffs in Year 2
Time to stop making excuses. Orgeron wins a title of some kind this year, or its time to move on. That is if you are still expecting an elite football program. Otherwise just admit to yourself that you've lowered your expectations. And Orgeron gets to stay as long as he wins 9 games each year.
