I'd rather he take the time he needs to get his life straight than let it just spiral out of control. As an LSU fan, it sucks, but that definitely shows some maturity on his end

I might be in the minority but I think LSU's weed policy is rather Draconian.
Of course it is. But this is Louisiana we're talking about. We promote alcohol as a lifestyle yet throw the book at weed smokers.

When you are a college athlete student, there are plenty of reasons why one may need time off. Funny how some people automatically jump to the conclusion of drugs.
When I was in college typical day went like this....6am practice....9am-12mwf class...1230 lunch...2p study....4pm team meeting.....5pm position...6pm dinner...8pm film...10pm(ish) lights out. 930a -1215pm t/h class schedule.

Now the potential high draft picks had to meet with scouts, do pressers, be annoyed with agents calling, can't go nowhere off campus, it's just so much added pressure on a kid who just turned 20-21. It's crazy

I left the board, but had to come back to post my support for Arden. I've been watching him closely since the first time I saw in play last year (2015). I believe he's very talented and primed for a successful NFL career.

Whatever the issue is, I hope Arden is able to overcome it and return to the team.

He has what it takes. Let him take the spring & summer off getting his schooling and personal life taken care of as he wants. Welcome him back in the fall, he won't miss a beat.

Not at this rate. His type are pretty much a dime a dozen at the next level, and he won't even get a shot if he doesn't straighten up.

Suspended for Citrus Bowl - bad.
Time off from football and team - worse.

What's next?

I'm going to assume he isn't going to play this next year. If he does it will be a pleasant surprise

I hope he gets everything worked out and is playing for the Tigers in the fall. He had a awesome year and he will be a high draft pick next year. Many prayers are being said for this young man.

He was suspended for the TAM game. Doesn't matter which game - the fact is that it happened and henceforth represents a big red flag as to his character and brings into question his dependability as a member of the LSU football team.

People can send warm him wishes, sugar coat it, and say everything will be OK. But if you think it's a done deal that he'll be back and not miss a beat - then you're a blind fool, fool. I give it no better than 50-50 that he'll be on the roster in the fall.
