Aranda is replacabel y'all ... I like having a top DC, so I am not saying get rid of him, but he is replacable..

His solution to 3rd down .. Convince the NCAA to play Canadian rules ... he'd like to see punts on 3rd down

Aranda is as good as gone already imo…

The game has passed him by.

Made adjustments and held Florida to 7 points in the entire second half.

Made adjustments after falling behind 28-21.

Why the delay. Why wait until the game was in jeopardy?

His defense is our weak link.

He simply isn't worth the 2M.

Your opinion.

He made halftime adjustments and we held the #7 team to 7 points. But by all means, don't give him credit for doing that.

If you want to hate him, that's all you.

I don't worship the ground he walks on but I have faith in him.

I'm not here looking to get into a big argument about Aranda.

At the beginning of the third quarter. Remind me what happened after that again.

We all know what happened.
My point was at that point the game was still in jeopardy.

I saw Aranda on the TD tiger scoreboard and he got the go ahead from us in the 3rd quarter to start blitzing. The man was stubborn as hell you had a qb that could barely move yet we did not blitz until we lost the lead. I am on the fence about Aranda now. IHe gets the pass this week because we beat dem fricking gators.

I'm very aware of what it says.

All I'm saying is that while some are quick to jump to conclusions, the fact remains in that Aranda made halftime adjustments and shut Florida's offense down in the second half.

Maybe he wanted to see a general offensive game plan that Florida had in mind in the first half. I don't know but I don't see it as being so precarious as you and the OP have made it out to be.

That's a fair statement, don't you think? I'm really asking.

I understand it was nerve wracking and such, I was right there as well. But I loved what I saw from the defense in the second half.

Things need to be worked on, I think we can agree on that but overall I really liked what I saw, particularly in the second half.

Again, I'm not trying to make this a personal argument, we're just talking football.

How many times can this offense bail out our defense?

Whether it's the pace of the game, or the offensive schemes he's facing, he hasn't been able to keep up thusfar.

He certainly isn't worthy of his salary thusfar this season. If he wants to keep his job, he better do like Brady and earn his keep.

Again, I disagree.

He made adjustments. I have yet to see you acknowledge that.

If you dislike him, then so be it.

I'm not getting into a big to do with you over this.

Who cares what these goobers think? They would replace coaches every month if they could. Players are missing tackles and assignments.
Hell even Bamas defense is suspect this year.
We’re undefeated and led most of the game and every game this year.
I think I’d try to fix the problem before firing one of the best defense coaches in the country.

I literally just said the same thing to myself. Like you're just replacing a battery or a light bulb.

True.

I just didn’t understand the strategy in the first half hell Florida was going up and down the field as our linebackers stood there no blitz no nothing. Florida did move the ball in the second half but I did like that we put pressure on trask in the second half I give credit to Aranda for that but why did he wait so long? And that last roughing the passer against us was total bs. Overall the defense did look a lot better in the second half though.

This is just my opinion but I think he wanted to get a general idea of what sort of offensive game plan Florida had.

After halftime, it was a different game.

Completely agree. Even the announcers were saying, "um, that's the hip, not a knee shot" But aside from that, I thought the game was pretty well officiated. They let them play and weren't flag happy.

That's not why I'm saying.

The 3 power five schools we have played this year have scored 38,38 and 28.

What is the problem. Is it scheme, players coaches?
