what a croc. we got butt stomped at least 3 games. our front 7 couldn't stop any team with a decent running game.

that "best" defense you speak of was a statistical aberration.

If you omitted the bowl game because Chavis gave up, our run defense improved dramatically from the Florida game onward. Our pass defense finished 1st in the SEC and 3rd overall so don't start with the bullshite.

Our run defense the last 7 games of the regular season held opponents to their worst or second worst rushing performance of the entire year.

We gave up over 200 yards passing only twice in regulation (vs Miss St and Auburn early on). The only other time we gave up more than 186 was vs Bama and it took overtime for them to do it.

The Aranda move will do down as one of the best moves in Miles' tenure.

He is gonna be brilliant.

While I agree our defense took a dip last year I still believe that the lack of an offense that could consistently sustain drives would make any defensive coordinator look worse that he actually is.

Did you miss the 2014 season?

We had a worse offense and much better defense (with less talent imo)

We beat ole miss 10-7 on a late scoring drive.

We took bama to OT w the 13 points

Compare that with this past November. We got run out of the building by these teams with a marginally better offense and a defense that couldn't hold a candle to the 2014 version

Good coordinators have good defenses. Bad coordinators have bad defenses.
