3 of the teams you listed are undefeated
Did I say these teams were undefeated? I said All of these teams have shown they can be easily beaten. Texas and Texas Tech both have problems either on the lines are in the secondary.

Who has Vandy beaten? An Auburn team (at home) whose offense has put up 3, 14, 7 and 13 pts over the last 4 weeks? Until Vandy beats UF and/or UGA, they will stay low in the rankings.
I am glad somebody said that. If that is your argument to "why Vandy is ranked in the top 15" now use the same argument for LSU. Who have they beaten? Appy State 1-D1 hit wonders, North Texas, Auburn(who like you said hast scored more then 14 and barely beat a rag tag MSU team who LSU only beat by 10. So I ask this now after a legitimate argument, who has LSU beaten to deserve to stay so high?

how have undefeated teams shown they can EASILY be beaten?
vandy has had a bunch of close games on their path to being undefeated. they've shown they can EASILY be beaten a lot more than teams who have rolled their competition

Texas: played nobody, yet their O line and secondary have problems
Texas Tech: played nobody
BYU: I stated I don't know much about these guys.
I am not saying Vandy should be #1, only that dismissing them because they are Vandy is dumb.

You mean like LSU last year? Undefeated is undefeated. BYU is up there.
Vandy schedule > BYU schedule.

WTF???? USC passes up BYU??

slightly, but not by much
and other than washington, BYU has been MURDERING their schedule
they beat the living dogshit out of a BCS team. vandy is squeaking by their opponents (8.6 average MOV)

I am surprised that Georgia Tech is not ranked in either poll
Posted on 10/5/08 at 1:15 pm to Steven4bama
I think what he was trying to point out is at the start of the year #1 Georgia was jumped in the polls
for close games that they were supposed to win by larger margins.
I don't think any LSU fans have a problem where we are ranked in the polls, if we beat the teams we play we will move up, simple as that.

Then why is Alabama ranked so high? I wouldn't call what they have been doing as "murdering" their schedule.
This is obviouly a case of name recognition combined with messed up preseason polls. (although I don't remember Alabama even being ranked preseason.)

they murdered UGA to start the game and then went on cruise control

Yeah, Alabama jumped from 24 to 2 in like 3 weeks

You may be right, but I think that they don't have much depth

The #2 team in the nation doesn't go on "cruise control". If anything, they murder their opponents. Just like BYU, Texas Tech , Oklahoma, and Texas.
Either A)Bama and LSU are overrated or B)BYU and Vandy are underrated in this poll.
If all you want to say is Bama was good for 1 half of 1 game, then that really isn't much of a leg for them to stand on.

Why is this a badge of honor for Ohio State (2002) and LSU (2007), yet a sign of weakness for Vanderbilt?

Mizz will lose to Oklahoma so it doesn't matter.
