The 90's? Do you see a correlation between the development of the SEC's dominance with speed and the demise of the option as a viable offense? I don't think I'm reaching here.

GT was stopped by the likes of North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Virginia. Sure they beat UGA, but UGA's defense was subpar. Ask any UGA fan. They'll admit it just like I'll admit LSU's defense stunk it up.

I see this has devolved into a pissing contest about how awesome GT was or wasn't, but my original point remains: JJ's performance against GT doesn't dictate that he will be a great QB in the SEC. It maybe an indication, but nothing more. That's why the 100's of threads like this during the off season irritate me.
