Bring a sleeping bag, pillow and a bug zapper. Like camping... only dirtier.

I still remember staying in one of those when I was a kid at Disney. We didn't know any better but my parents were mortified.

Yeah I was thinking about staying in one of those hotels/motels in Opelika on Columbus or Montgomery, which is even further from Auburn. I was reading the reviews about the ones on Columbus, but just bit the bullet to have to drive a little further and stay in Montgomery.
