Some of my favorite memories as a child were the LSU football camps I attended. 95-00 with Dinardo and Saban’s first year. Stayed at Broussard and Herget. Loved camping on the outdoor practice fields and the indoor facility. My tiger ball team made the “Super Bowl” twice and got to play in tiger stadium the final day of camp. I thought I was on top of the world. Sam Nader ran the camps and was a jewel.

I attended 95 and 96 Dinardo camp. And 96 elite camp at the end of summer.

Both years dormed with entire Carver football team. Wild days.

Played a lot of 7on 7. My camp buds were Damien james Jarvis Green Fred booker and Brock Williams? He ended up Notre Dame.

It was super competitive. Particularly remember Craig Nall being cool and having a cannon. Sean Cangelosi from Chapel Trafton was awesome. The first time I had seen a white receiver that good. Routes and hands. Also Alvin George from carver was legit.

Took my reps at elite camp against Travis Minor and Dewayne Woods from Salmen. Minor was tough. Fast as hell.

Thomas Dunson was also there. We were what and what. He was a legit 6-230. 4.59!

Did y'all Stay in Herget Hall(it was used for Football Camps in Summer)?

I delivered 100 Pizza Hut Pizzas to Herget Dorm to Campers a few times.
One time circa 96-97 LSU Coach Mike Haygood was in charge and was a total dick to me, making jokes about beating me up when he only saw me walk in with 10 pizzas.
I told him I had 10 trips to make.
then he didn't tip me a dime.
100 MFin Pizzas.
I laughed like "shocker" when he got fired years later from Miami of Ohio for domestic violence.

TLDR I probably delivered pizza to your camp and Coach Haywood was a no tippin dick to me.

I remember Haywood being a little snarky but didn’t think much of it as a kid other than he’s just giving some hard coaching. Hal Hunter, Morris Watts, and Carl Reese were all fun coaches to work with. I still remember seeing Robert Toomer walking around the indoor facility and being absolutely jacked.

Haywood was definitely the pizza czar back then. If you were with Damien or any off the Carencro recruits you were in pizza heaven. If not pure poverty.
