Did you no see the play? It most certainly was a quick pass. Lee's first down pass proved that he knows how to read/ check down.
I saw the play and I never said it wasnt a quick pass. The DB was in the receiver's pants with him and the ball should not have been thrown. The WR dropped it b/c the DB was draped all over him. It was a very risky play call and a very risky and poorly thrown pass. You wont convince me otherwise. Sorry.

I agree that it was a shitty play call and the DB was all over him, the only problem is they were on the 1 yard line and Lee had no other options on that play. Throwing it away would be a saftey bc of intentional grounding in the endzone.

If one had to pass an IQ test to buy a computer, some on the Rant could not get a #2 pencil.

Was it risky? Absolutely. But despite the coverage, it was a well-thrown ball.

The point is that this was a quick pass that didn't have a check-down receiver. Lee's option was to force the ball, or try to scramble and throw the ball away.

Keep in mind where he was on the field. It was a bad decision, but good placement. Blame Crowton for making that call in the first place.

They could get the pencil. It would be the one without the eraser, so they would go buy that huge eraser to go back and correct all the stupid shite they say.

Throw it over the WR head and out of bounds in not intentional grounding. I'll agree, it starts with a crazy stupid play call BUT that's the same throw Lee screwed up repeatedly last year. He doesnt read or look, he just fires away regardless.

But he didn't screw it up this year. It was a dangerous pass, but it was placed right where it needed to be. If the WR hangs onto it, you're not talking about a near INT, you're talking about how well he threw that ball... or not talking about it at all.

Its possible you're right. It was my initial reaction that "holy shite that was dangerous". I then thought that Lee almost did it again... That was my live, in-game response to the pass. If I see a replay of it, perhaps I'll see it different.

I think we can both agree it was a Dumb As frick Play Call.

Once again, a small section of idiots try to make their insignificance in this world hurt a little less by continuing to try and crucify this young man. Did you bother watching Lee's overall play? It was an EXCELLANT performance and he would have had another TD to his name if aubbie defender doesn't "inadvertently" trip RR on a perfectly thrown deep ball!
JJ may be a good mobile QB and I applaud his performance sat night and his overall improvement, but Lee's medium to deep range passes still put his to shame.
If you guys have to bash good kids out there giving their all for this team to amuse yourself, I have a solution for you. Attach one end of a hose to your exhaust pipe and the other to your face, crank it up and breath deeply!

That was the greatest 1-3 performance in the history of football

And you are more impressed with JL's 1-3 than you are with JJ's whole game...

Would it have been better to keep the ball and risk a sack in the endzone? That would have been the other option.

No pun intended.
