I've got the Doubletree downtown booked at $169/night ... June 13-24th ... we don't need the hotel anymore cause we're taking the travel trailer.

If anyone's interested, I would call and change the name and credit card on the reservation, but I'll only do it for an LSU fan.

ETA: This is just a regular reservation directly through doubletree, so the dates can be changed, etc...

ETA: Room no longer available, already switched it to someone else's name.

I would but I am afraid for my bunghole.

ETA: I will ask around.

naw man... if no one wants it, I'll just cancel the reservation all together. it's booked directly through doubetree, so the reservation can be cancelled/changed/whatever.

last year I said if we made the championship I was going up, and when we didn't I've told myself ever since last year that no matter what I was going up the whole time this year ...

It sucks that the CWS is so long (11 days) ... From a baseball standpoint and starting pitching, I'm happy it's so long, but from a fan's standpoint and taking off work, 11 days is too long.

On priceline it's saying the doubletree downtown is $209/night. How did you get it at $169?

yeah, it's just a regular hotel reservation ... so when LSU gets eliminated, you just check out and cancel the reservation for the rest of the stay.

That sounds like a great deal....The thing is I'm trying to put together a trip and have never done this before. I'm trying to do this for my Dad for a father's day surprise present and am not the best trip planner so if you could point me in the right direction of getting tickets and airfare I'll take the room and throw you some extra cash for helping me out. Please respond to the thread and I will give you my phone number and cc# or whatever is necessary to make this happen. I'm dead set on going just need a hand. Geaux tigers!!!!

larrymoecurly,

Jump all over this offer. I have been working on hotel reservations for the last two weeks, and can tell you that this is a great deal. The only drawback with downtown hotels, parking charges.

Very good rate, and you can bugout if we get knocked out.

Just emailed one guy back (the first person that emailed me)... told him to call me. If I don't hear from him by this afternoon the room is still available.

Actually 12 days if the championship series goes 3 games! And this does not include travel days! I agree with you. The NCAA has stretched the CWS to the point that average people can't stay the whole time. Every time I've gone I've stayed as long as the Tigers have, but this year I don't know. We'll see.
