Thinking of making the trip from charlotte and would expect a lot of Tiger fans.

Anyone familiar with their park have advice?

My kids and I will be there in left field on Friday and Saturday sporting LSU colors. It’s a nice small park with bullpens in the outfield and chair backs. Not a bad seat in the park. They also have bleacher seating in the outfield as well. Bring Sunscreen. Lots of homers. SC is leading or close to the top in home runs. It will be a tuff series.

Yes. I’m making the easy drive from Charlotte. Nice ball park. Thirsty Fellow Pizza and Pub is within walking distance, it’s pretty good. If you get there early enough, they have a great street market called Soda City, every Saturday from 8 am to Noon. About 4 blocks of vendors and food, downtown on Main Street. Hope to go to Athens as well.

never been but might have to think about it. I'll be in McCormick, SC for Easter w the family. Columbia is about 2 hrs away from there.

Is Columbia a decent city worth visiting? Never been.

I haven't been there for a long time, but I attended school there back in the early 90s and took my daughter to see a game there back when Blake Dean was on the team. The baseball venue is a good distance away from the main part of the campus which makes it easily accessible. California Dreaming is probably the only eatery that is still in that area that was there so many years ago.

If you stay around the campus and the capitol. The park along the river is really nice, and there are several eateries worth trying out.

It's underrated as a college town because it is in a bigger city and state capital a la Baton Rouge. But it has a good bar and restaurant scene, and the school is beautiful with a vibrant SEC fanbase.

The biggest drawback is the football stadium is not on campus, though obviously that does not affect the baseball experience. Would be a good trip.
