I was just able to book room there for Bama game but have since read reviews that make this place seem pretty bad. Anyone know anything about it or stayed here before? Is it in the ghetto? Any info is appreciated.

Stayed there once. Walked out my room to several gunshots. Good luck with your stay there!

It's a Motel 6. Even brand new they come with a side of semen stain...

It's not bad. Stayed there the past 3 times I think. This past time they redid the floors...wood laminate throughout, even the damn bathrooms (which is pretty odd).

It's just a place to crash and shower, don't sweat it!

Yikes.

Why not just sleep under a bridge?

definitely wouldn't recommend it! if it's the one on mcFarland past skyland (which is the only one i can think of) It's not in an ideal location for travel to the stadium or a good area. There are a lot of hotels close to the interstate that are much nicer on McFarland. They aren't much closer to campus but it is a better area and closer to restaurants, the mall, etc. There are also some on 15th Street to look at (definitely a Holiday Inn-nice) which are in a better area and A LOT closer to campus! Hope this helps!

I think you answered your own question, bud. Dont take a female, preferably a muscular friend, and brush up on your drug lingo and ebonics, and you should do fine.

problem is that none of those nicer hotels have anything available for lsu game weekend. Of course I'd rather a holiday inn, but this was all I could fine. If anyone knows a better place with availability I'm all ears.

Unless you are bringing your wife and kids...this! As long as you aren't in West End, nowhere in Tuscaloosa is that bad.

It is in an low-average to average commercial/retail district. I would compare it to the Sherwood Forest or Airline Highway hotels just off I-12 in Baton Rouge. If you're with family, you might see or hear things that make your wife uncomfortable, but you should be safe anyway.

Me and my brother stayed there two years ago and let me tell you, the place is the epitome of a chit hole. We were gonna stay the night after the game also but my brother wanted to drive all the way back home instead.

If you don't mind spiders on your pillow or roaches this is the place for you.

Summary: It's a Motel 6.
