Personality and style wise I don't think two folks could be any different.

Brown could get people to play
WAY ABOVE THEIR LEVEL.

Miles can not get them to play
AT THEIR LEVEL.

No. Miles actually won a national championship with an extraordinary amount of talent.

Dale couldn't break the sweet sixteen with Shaq, Roberts, and Jackson.

So how far did we get when Dale Brown had Chris Jackson, Stanley Roberts, and Shaq all playing WAY ABOVE THEIR LEVEL?

Yeah...they are both winners and they care more about their teams than what the media or gass bags think about them.

shaq was 17 and stanley roberts was a prop 48 sophomore playing for the first time. chris jackson, shaq, and stanley roberts played for one year together and lost to a final 4 team. that example is really dumb.

you are obviously too young to know better.
yet so young you know it all.

He is the only SEC coach to have ever appeared in 15 straight national tournaments and only 11 coaches in NCAA history have made more consecutive NCAA appearances (10). Only the legendary Adolph Rupp of Kentucky has won more games in SEC history. Brown and Rupp are the only SEC coaches that had 17 consecutive non-losing seasons. Only 3 coaches in the SEC have won more conference championships, Adolph Rupp, Joe Hall, and Tubby Smith.

Only 6 coaches in the SEC have led their teams to two Final Fours or more. They are Dale Brown, Billy Donovan, Joe Hall, Rick Pitino, Nolan Richardson, and Adolph Rupp.

On nine occasions Brown was selected as the SEC Coach of the Year or Runner-Up. He was twice chosen as the National Coach of the Year. In a 10 year span from 1977-1986, LSU is the only school to finish in the first division of the SEC. He has the distinction of beating Kentucky more than any coach in the nation. 105 of 160 of his players received their college degrees. He is a member of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame. In 2004 he was inducted as an SEC Living Legend.

During Brown's era basketball rose to a level that no one could have ever possibly imagined. LSU holds the record for the 2nd,3rd, and 4th largest paid attendance for a regular season game in college basketball history.

he said Dale could coach players "way above their level", he had arguably one of the more talented teams ever assembled at LSU and made the sweet 16.

they turned out (years later )to be talented INDIVIDUALLY, but were young and did not play as a team yet....there was much to learn

it may appear so, but even not everyone in that group played to their level.

TRY 2008....that's where it would show what a coach can really do...

when all is well, it is easy.
when you need to really dig, is when the tale is told.

and you're obviously too old to answer the question.
yet young enough to know how to copy/paste from wikipedia.

You stated that Dale Brown coaches players to play "way above their level" . . . . . so how far did we get when Dale Brown had Chris Jackson, Stanley Roberts, and Shaq all playing WAY ABOVE THEIR LEVEL?

right, hindsight really was 20/20 with that team. No one and I mean NO ONE, especially not sports illustrated, knew the talent we had on campus that year. And not playing as a team? That's the player's fault not Dale's. The man was a coaching GOD and without him that trio of stumble-bums wouldn't have even made the tourney.

Then we would not have won the MNC last year.

yes, I did copied/paste so you would have knowledge....but I am sure yiu just want to argue and try to win instead of read.
so

how does that diminish the validity of the content ?

Miles had talent to spare in 2007....
tell me about 2008...

Actually I see the exact opposite. Miles is at his best when he has superior talent than anybody on his schedule, while Dale was at his best when he had less talent.

Totally agree.
The less you gave Dale, the better he seemed to do.
...the 83 and 86 teams were incredible.

Miles needs superior talent to do well.

which is why he completely cocked it up when he had one of the more talented teams in LSU history . . .
