John Brady syndrome. Do just enough to keep your job.

It's not that I'm apathetic.

I mean, when it gets close, I'll look forward to watching the opener.

But, I just am COMPLETELY not optimistic about the season.

That isn't my biggest fear.

My biggest fear is a couple of 8-9 win seasons where the problems just continue to mount.

Followed by a couple of 6-7 win season and then a total collapse.

Fans, especially us older fans need to remember that while WE will remember LSU used to be good, the memory of recruits is MUCH shorter.

If you go 5-6 years in decline, you're dealing with 17 year olds who barely remember shite about your school.

To them, you might as well be KY.

Ha, my buddies say that every year I say, “This is LSU’s year.” But I won’t be saying that this year, and probably not for the forseeable future.

Cool, that means you think we will make it to a "final four" which is the CFB Playoff. That's really optimistic on your part. Way to go.

For people like you and I, apathetic is one of a number of emotions we are feeling.

For the people who aren’t like us...you’re gonna have to explain what apathetic means...pretty sure at least

Please enlighten me oh wise one. I am a simple man that does not let things that are out of my control feel me with emotion and rage and CHOOSE not to be apathetic.

I rest my case

Apathy IS the lack of emotion and rage. In other words, you’re saying you CHOOSE to be emotional and enraged?

Yep. I dialed my enthusiasm for LSU football back when Miles wasn't fired after 2015. It was on life support when we hired Ed O, now I just don't care. The people in charge don't care either.

When next season is over, and we've lost 4-5 games and UF, Arkansas, Mizzu, and TAMU are on an upswing, maybe there'll be even more LSU people who don't care.
