I am extremely pleased with the hiring of Dave Aranda. I have to admit that I was expecting a less than stellar hire. The 2016 season is already looking better.

Agree and it's nice to think we will have a strong defense again. Can get back to dominating on defense. Can't wait.

Pleasantly surprised! LSU is moving in the right direction! Steele was brought in as an excellent recruiter w so-so coaching skills IMHO. This new guy from Wisconsin has solid numbers as a defensive coach. I am both surprised and impressed with LSU making this type of quality hire quickly.

It's particularly refreshing considering the uncertainty a few days ago. As mentioned in other threads, Miles hired a youthful, energetic, players' coach who backs it up with football savvy and smarts. It's hard not to be excited about this hire and the outlook going forward.
