never. As a medical professional, It's my opinion that Miles is in critical condition. He may survive to 2011 because of the potential organ donation from the next recruiting class. His poor management and scheming has metastisized and just might be terminal. In addition, most programs dont survive past 3 yrs when diagnosed with a Crowton tumor. Sorry for the attitude of defeat, but the literature is there.

he can win another if he: 1) starts taking chances again like he did the first couple of years; and 2) maintains his recruiting edge in louisiana.

Yes. He will compete for the NC every 3-4 years and by the time he retires he will win probably three. I think he proved he can do it and it took some luck. His recruiting has been excellent and he hires good assistants and gets rid of the ones that don't cut it. (I disagree with many who are down on Crowton) If Crowton can not get LSU in the top 30 in offense next year with a Junior QB then I will agree that he needs to go.

Yes. I think 2010 and 2011 will provide an excellent opportunity. I also think 2013 and 2014 will be great opportunities.

But as with any MNC, there's a lot of luck involved.

would still be a championship, as long as it was won on the field (unlike USC in 2003).

No, especially if Saban and Meyer is still coaching.

The only way Les wins another national championship at LSU is if Satan, I mean Saban retires or if Les is playing one of those EA sports video games. Les will always have a losing record versus Saban. Right now he is 1-2 against a Saban team and he will lose next season to Alabama in Tiger Stadium. This is Les' last year folks.

yes, but if he doesn't, i still hope he's the coach.
i just read that diabetes can actually be exacerbated by stress.
i fully expect almost all ranturds to be dead or legless in ten years if miles is still coach.

go les.

Awesome post. I also think 2014 is a great opportunity for Les. From what out "commit" lists are shaping out for 2010 and 2011, it is pretty much a given that we will be a favorite to take it all with our 5 almost definate probable signees for 2011. Ofcourse, we will definately need at least 20 more top-tier athletes for 2011 and 28 a year for the next 2 years to seal the deal, but as of right now we have got to be the heavy favorite for the 2014 NC.

He took "chances" against Florida because he didn't have a choice. On the last drive, it was either go for it on 4th down or game is over. And, he got a nice spot or two along the way.
