Any news on the Senior front? Today is the 15th, no announcements?

Why do people keep saying the deadline to declare is today and the deadline to withdraw if Monday, Jan. 18? According to the NFL website, the deadline to declare is Monday, Jan. 18 and the NFL will release the names on Jan. 22. Am I missing something?

Several LSU juniors who requested grades from the committee have already made their announcements. Left tackle Jerald Hawkins is turning pro, he announced. Center Ethan Pocic and defensive linemen Christian LaCouture and Lewis Neal are returning for their senior seasons, they said.

Ahhhh gotcha. I suppose that's a really good sign. If the deadline is Monday then no news is great news at this point.

From what I read, today is the last day to declare, but you have until the 18th to change your mind IF you declare.
So if no one declares today then they should be staying unless they keep it from the media somehow

he was in Shreveport when spring semester classes started Wednesday but then today (Friday) he returned to Baton Rouge.

By now, I would think they would both be in class with a Spring Semester scheduled already in place if they were returning. I am hopeful but now cautiously optimistic...

My prediction is that he is coming back and going to use it during this big recruiting weekend. Hopefully, Les does the press conference thing where they announce guys returning to finish school and it leaves big impression on recruits.
