The video has been removed from youtube fwiw and some articles and photos have been removed.

The only thing serious enough for him to violate a school rule and a team rule, as least that I can come up with, would be either felonious conduct or drug use. Since there is no news he was charged with a crime, but a failed drug test is protected health information... draw your inferences in those facts.

The silence is deafening.

(ETA: I guess it could be academic fraud, but I think the school can say that if they prove it. The silence is still deafening, but I thought of at least one other possibility).

The video is not up b/c LSU asked them to take it down for multiple reasons - particularly using LSU video footage and TM7 to promote their product.

Good kid and made an honest mistake....that I am certain he won't forget.

Last post on this bc I see no need in keeping this thread going.

At least one QB who played for this team over the past four years would've been dismissed from school had academic fraud been as much of a zero-tolerance policy compared to the ironclad rule violated here.

That would be NCAA, this has to be drug + IMO.

This. He would've been ruled ineligible for the Mad Endz thing not kicked off.

Lsu is on probation for recruiting violations. If it was anything associated with that, he has to be gone. If he violated the drug rule, he is gone because it was an NCAA violation. He is out of football on the college level.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU's dismissal of 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist Tyrann Mathieu from its football program Friday came after the cornerback's repeated violations of LSU's substance abuse policy for athletes, a source with knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com.
