KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin has dismissed two of three freshmen players charged last week in an attempted armed robbery outside a Knoxville convenience store.
Kiffin says wide receiver Nu'Keese Richardson and defensive back Mike Edwards have been permanently dismissed from the football team. The coach says, “Their actions have no place in our program.”
Kiffin says former starting safety Janzen Jackson's status remains on hold. Kiffin says until he gets more information, Jackson will remain barred from participating in team activities.
He won't be kicked off.

After reading this, I still can't figure out if he was kicked off the team or not.

a buddy of mine lives in tennessee. he said the guy doesn't want to press charges.
This happens all the time. Nobody ever wants to press charges against these pieces of shite. Out comes the rich booster pocketbook and up goes the bank account or a new Escalade appears in the driveway of the "victum" or they're sitting on the 50 yard line next season.........

Maybe Kiffen cant kick him off because maybe just maybe there was some questionable recruiting going on up there and he doesn't want Jackson to sing.

From what I read, Jackson was in the car when the other two demanded money at the point of a gun. That does not mean that he cannot be charged with aggravated robbery as he was a principal in any decision to commit the act. However, if the facts once investigated show that he did not know what the other two were going to do, he may skate. Or, he might wind up with probation since it was a pellet gun (although that should make no difference as an essential aspect of the crime of armed or aggravated robbery). In any event, there is NO CHANCE of him being accepted at LSU, much less to play football.

I think Kirk is dead on! That wimp Kiffin would have booted him along with the other two gees. Us in Lake Charles would welcome JJ in open arms. We are holding a job for him here at the local car wash!
