Yeah, it's the Summer League, but I think Blakeney has a great chance to be a solid sixth man for a team

You cannot be serious

He is a 6'2 SG who before today was shooting around 30%, averaging .5 apg and .5 rpg

He showed this at LSU...he will have a game where he drops 30 on 10/15 shooting then a game where he is 2/13. He doesn't play enough defense, contribute enough in other categories to be useful to a team in the NBA.

No one under Jones did. I'm not going to say he has a great chance to be a 6th man in the NBA or some craziness like that, but it's not entirely fair to draw on his time at LSU and extrapolate. I'm curious to see what kind of player he can become with some semblance of coaching

Maybe one day he can be but I don't see it, more like a 8th or 9th man off the bench.

He'll make a roster eventually. He's very gifted athletically and had the worst coach in D1, under whom almost every player regressed.

If Blakeney had Tom Izzo, he would've been drafted.

I just hope, for him, that he makes a team.

Although there's good money to be made overseas if he doesn't.

So he had 1 good summer league game, and now he's a baller?

He's 6'2, not even 200 pounds. Physically, he cannot stand up to the riggers of the NBA. He will play overseas, maybe do well eventually...this dude ain't playing in the NBA. How can anyone actually believe he will play in the NBA? Antonio Blakeney is a lesser Marcus Thornton. He's not as big, but they're both just scorers. Thornton was one of the best pure scorers for LSU in a couple of decades...even he has bounced around the NBA and hasn't gotten consistent playing time.

There are people on here that say Ben Simmons will be a bust in the NBA, but yet Blakeney has a chance to stay on a roster..this is an amazing website

OP is the only one even vaguely insinuating he's a "baller". No need to melt bruh

He will not make a team. The only reason he was even playing this much today is because Payne and Dunn didn't play

I'm just trying to figure out he's going to make an NBA roster. I don't know one single elite skill he has for the NBA

I'll be very surprised if he makes the roster. He's not NBA ready and may never be. He'll play overseas.

I'm not entirely convinced he'll make a roster. But he's an incredible athlete and has a great work ethic and has shown he CAN light it up when he gets in a groove. Again, I'm not sure it's entirely fair to quantify his ability based on what you saw under Jones.

I didn't think Temple would even be a relevant college player, let alone carve a nice NBA career out. (Though to be fair he's 6'6" and showed he was an elite defender at LSU)

Temple has been a surprise. Definitely would not have guessed that he would outlast all the other guys he played with at LSU in the NBA

lol, maybe 1-2 players on each summer league roster make an NBA roster. maybe 1-2. probably more like maybe 1.

OP thinks an undersized SG that no coaching and a streaky (at best) shooter is going to be a 6th man? in the NBA?

there are guards better than Blakeney that can't get roster spots in the Turkish league. cool your jets, the guy isn't going to play in the NBA.

Temple developed an average shot. His defense alone would not have been enough
